    Purpose Not Pressure

    Purpose Not Pressure

Is your morning routine helping you or hurting you? When we constantly hear the message that the perfect morning routine should look a specific way to achieve success, it can leave us feeling as if we don’t measure up when we aren’t able to live out that exact expectation. To that I say: It’s time to stop living from a place of pressure and it’s your time start living from a place of PURPOSE. Doesn’t that sound refreshing?! Whether you’re a mom with littles or your work schedule is varying – this will look different for everyone. And that is the beauty of it! There is no one-size fits all blueprint. And just because things were one way for a long time, doesn’t mean that will serve you well in the next season. And friend – THAT IS OKAY.

Tune in to ditch the overwhelm and give yourself permission to let your posture change to the new season you may be stepping into.

Listen in as Jodi shares her three tips on-Why to ditch the ‘perfect morning routine,’ - What it means to own your zone, and-How to live your life from a place of purpose – not pressure – starting with the beginning of your day. Friend, if you’re ready to overcome the stress and step into a fresh breath of freedom, this episode is for you. It’s time to lose the pressure and focus on your purpose.

How to Fit Out Instead of Fitting In with Julianna Zobrist

How to Fit Out Instead of Fitting In with Julianna Zobrist

I first met Julianna Zobrist on Instagram and fell in love with her poetic posts and positive outlook. Artist, speaker and author of her new book ‘Pull it off’ she was definitely juggling a bunch of different rolls, and seem to be pulling it off with ease.  I loved the book and if you haven’t read it go grab a copy! We sat down with Julianna a few months ago and asked her all my questions about overcoming insecurities and societal pressures, and how to have the courage to fit out instead of fit in, and be a mom amidst all of that! Hope you enjoy our conversation.

Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North

Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North

We spent most of December on the road with The band Tenth Avenue North of which Mike Donehey is the lead singer.   We were fans of the band after our first Winter Jam tour together across the US in 2014 but we definitely got to know them a lot better over the past month. Mike’s lyrics have always expressed the struggle and tension he lives in, and an honesty in the way he runs to God with his doubts and shame. We were really excited to sit down with mike and talk about their new record ‘things we’ve been afraid to say, parenting 4 girls, marriage and so many other things!

Can’t wait for you to listen in to our honest conversation.

Sarah & Christy Hunt from Dance Moms

Sarah & Christy Hunt from Dance Moms

Have you watched the shows Dance Moms? Sarah and her mom Christy were on the show for several years, and we got to sit down with them in their home in Pittsburg PA. The subject we kept coming back to was identity. Being in the public eye at 10 years old is not easy, neither is being a Mom in public. But having a clear sense of knowing yourself has helped them navigate the crazy road of reality TV.

Dave Barnes on Heartfelt Living and Laughter as Medicine

Dave Barnes on Heartfelt Living and Laughter as Medicine

When we moved to Nashville and started working on our first album, Dave Barnes was one of our first people we got to write music with. We ended up penning the song ‘King of My Heart’ with him and Jeff Pardo in that session, which is still one of our favorites to play. Dave is a Grammy nominated songwriter, and has invented his own way of doing shows. Singer/songwriter meets stand up comedian, can’t say that we know a lot of people are doing that! Listen in as we talk about life’s highs and lows...and how to have a good sense of humor about it all!
