005: Reclaim Your Sense of Self & Rein It In After Losing Your Sh*t

005: Reclaim Your Sense of Self & Rein It In After Losing Your Sh*t

When you lose it on someone, you give up the very essence of who you are because you give up your ability to show self-control. In this episode, I talk about what it means to lose your sh*t and how you can rein it in. I discuss why you lose it in some situations and not in others. This is when I refer to how each person has their own individual triggers, as we’ve all been raised differently and see the world through our personalized lens.

I offer details on the steps you can take in order to take back control of your behavior and learn from your reactive patterns. I highlight how you can shift your beliefs by healing the things that cause you to lose it in the first place.  By doing this, you can also change your patterns to respond in a healthier way.

    Key Topics

    • Responding as a conscious choice rather than a thoughtless reaction (04:12)
    • Exploring the impact of reacting in the heat of the moment (07:22)

004: How to Overcome Fear & Get More of What You Want in Life

004: How to Overcome Fear & Get More of What You Want in Life

Today I talk about the natural emotion of fear. In this episode, I break down the three different types of fear – rational, primal and irrational fear. Then I dive into the specifics of irrational fear, as this one makes no sense to our brain and is usually the prime suspect that keeps you from getting more out of your life.

Irrational fear is usually based on memories of past experiences, false beliefs, and intrusive thoughts and can be improved by exposure. I discuss how fear is not something to run from, but something to learn from and use as a source of power… your power!
