    In this episode, we speak with Jo Ann Vara known as “BeatJo” a

    deaf UTEP student who is the very first graduate in her family.

    She is also a very accomplished softball player.

    We talk to her about her unique journey as a Deaf woman. Listen

    as she shares her story, her aspirations for the Deaf community here in the

    Borderland, and the local school that shaped her as a person.

    We also discuss her passion of softball and how she made a name

    for herself in the sport she loves.
