Today, EHN talks Teens! Emergence Health Network’s Jacquelyne Cisneros, takes us into the PHP Program (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP Program (Intensive Outpatient Program)

This program has been designed for teens ages 13-18 years old. Noreen and Jacquelyne discuss how this day program works and how it's structured around schooling. They discuss how teenagers benefit from this program and the different levels of care available.

Also discussed are the warning signs in your teen that may be symptoms they need external mental care.

deaf UTEP student who is the very first graduate in her family.

She is also a very accomplished softball player.

We talk to her about her unique journey as a Deaf woman. Listen

as she shares her story, her aspirations for the Deaf community here in the

Borderland, and the local school that shaped her as a person.

We also discuss her passion of softball and how she made a name

for herself in the sport she loves.

Sheryl Wilcox and Leah Wood, from Region 19’s Special Education Program, speak with the Director of the Head Start programs in Texas, Socorro Rodriguez about her journey and passion for Head Start and helping children.

Find out about how Rodriguez started her journey by getting a knock on her door 36 years ago from a Head Start employee that changed her life. After meeting with the Head Start worker, Rodriguez enrolled her then, 3-year-old into the program. She loved the program so much that it completely changed her life as well as her daughters and is now helping others. Rodriguez has helped to build 32 Head Start Centers across Texas. Hear all about the Region-19 Head Start program and see how Socorro Rodriguez can help.

Therapist Jo Marie Gemlich of Emergence Health Network, talks about the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and the Intensive Outpatient Program (IHP) that helps substance abuse users and their mental wellbeing.

EHN's Noreen Jaramillo discusses a stigma in our culture about "addiction" or substance use disorder with EHN's Supervisor for the Substance Use Disorder Program or SUD, William Thomas.

In this episode, Thomas talks about the programs offered at EHN that can help people who are substance users, get off their dependency of these drugs. Emergence Health Network offers not only a safe place to help drug users, but programs that can help, even if a person does not have insurance, people kick their drug dependence. Adults, teenagers, kids, and even programs that are specialized for women substance abuse users are topics of conversation in this podcast episode.
