    Relaxing into Discomfort

    Relaxing into Discomfort

Discomfort is not always a sign that something has gone wrong. It is sometimes a sign that things are finally heading in the right direction…

My willingness to push past my own comfort zones is the price I am continually paying to step into deeper connection and alignment with the highest versions of myself that I want to embody.

If you are ready to relax into the discomfort that comes from stepping into alignment with the most radically authentic and aligned version of yourself, I promise you will not regret it in the long run.

And if you need some support with how to process and allow the discomfort of your own journey, I hope you will take advantage of my offer for a free 30-minute coaching session. You can schedule it now by clicking here.

    Leaning Into Natural Rhythms

    Leaning Into Natural Rhythms

Humans are natural beings. We are literally part of nature.

But in today's highly industrialized and technologically advanced world, we sometimes put a lot of pressure on ourselves to perform like the machines around us. This is doing us no favors.

As natural beings, we have natural rhythms and seasons. Understanding and implementing this shift in expectations can actually allow us to create much more of what we want for ourselves and the world.

You are not a machine, my friend. And you don't have to perform like one. Isn't that a relief?

    Believing on Purpose

    Believing on Purpose

Did you know that we get to choose what we want to believe about anything and everything in our lives?!

Sometimes we carry around the same beliefs for so long, that we forget they are optional. This can be especially true when it comes to what we are choosing to believe about ourselves.

Today's episode is all about addressing the mental clutter that might be getting in the way of creating a thriving relationship with yourself. You can apply this concept to beliefs from any area of your life, but I recommend starting with the things that you are choosing to believe about yourself.

Ready to begin applying this concept to yourself but don't really want to go it alone? You are in luck! I would be so honored to be your coach for even just 1 session. "God Dwells In Me, As Me"

"God Dwells In Me, As Me"

Despite being raised in a devout Christian family with religion at the center of my life, God was an ambiguous and confusing concept for me for a very long time.

I spent years searching for God outside of myself and coming up mostly empty-handed. Eventually, I assumed that a personal connection to God was inaccessible by design.

When I finally stumbled upon the possibility of finding God within myself, spiritual things shifted for me in a powerful and personal way.

Today I am sharing a bit about that shift and the Siddha mantra that catapulted this particular piece of my journey back home to myself.

"God dwells in me, as me"

If your journey back home to yourself includes a spiritual component that you are struggling to navigate, please don't hesitate to reach out. I may not have all the answers you are looking for, but I am confident that I can help you uncover those answers within yourself.

    Self-Care Confessions

    Self-Care Confessions

Have you ever heard the argument that "Self-care is not selfish"?

It has resonated with me in the past, but I am rethinking it in today's episode.

What if self-care IS selfish? And what if that's not a problem?

What if you don't just have to take care of yourself for the benefit of others?

What would it look like to undertake a consistent self-care routine that is primarily for your own benefit?

You are a human with needs. And that is valid. Period.

    Boundaries in a Nutshell

In this episode, we're talking all about Boundaries... what they are, what they aren't, and how they can help us invite more connection into our relationships.

When used correctly, boundaries serve as the ultimate form of self-care by helping us reclaim more of our power over our own emotions and experience.

If you are looking to feel more empowered in any of your relationships--including your relationship to yourself--then boundaries are a great tool to explore.

    Understanding Your Human Brain

    Understanding Your Human Brain

How much do you know about your own human brain and the way that it functions?

Today's episode is going to break down the basics for you.

Did you know that you have a rational brain and a survival brain... and that the two can often be at odds with each other?

I have found that understanding how my brain functions is the most valuable tool in living a more intentional life.

It is also the secret sauce to truly embracing radical self-acceptance and practicing more self-compassion.

    Love Ability

    Love Ability

The title is not a typing error. In today's episode, we are talking about the distinction between lovability and Love Ability.

Can I let you in on a secret? The amount of love that we receive from the people around us has nothing to do with how lovable we are, and everything to do with the other person's ability to love us.

It's time to recognize how deeply and unconditionally lovable, worthy, and valuable you already are, always have been, and always will be.

We are also diving into how you can learn to cultivate more overall love in your life.

It might be the best episode yet! Can't wait to hear what you think.

    Healing from the Inside Out

    Healing from the Inside Out

The world has felt pretty heavy lately for many of us, and there is only so much that we can actually control about it.

Ultimately, the one thing that we can all control is ourselves.

In this episode, we dive into why taking more intentional control over your internal relationship with yourself might just be the most powerful thing that you can do to effect positive change in the world.

I believe that we will never truly heal our broken world until we are ready to tend to the broken pieces of ourselves.

Hurt people hurt people, and healed people heal people.

    Should Shame

    Should Shame

Have you ever stopped to pay attention to how often you say "should" or "shouldn't" to yourself? Or even considered where all of those "shoulds" are actually coming from?

Nothing produces shame faster than an internal voice spouting off all of the things that we think we should be doing, not doing, thinking, or feeling.

And the thing about shame is... it's a liar!

Shame tells us the story that there is something wrong with us, which is just a big ol' pile of B.S.

The truth is that you are a complex and dynamic human being with a multitude of reasons for being exactly the way that you are.

This episode dives into how we can all finally stop "should-ing" all over ourselves and tap into something much truer and more powerful than shame.

If I can get a handle on this, I promise that you can too!

Let's get you feeling better and actually moving towards the things that you truly want in your life.

    The Paradox of Rejection

    The Paradox of Rejection

Let's face it, rejection feels terrible!

If you hate the feeling of being rejected... then you are perfectly human!

But how often are you rejecting yourself in the process of trying to avoid the rejection of others?

Learning how to identify and heal the parts of myself that I have been rejecting for years has been paramount to learning how to build internal love and trust. In today's episode, I hope to show you how to do the same.

    Exercising Self-Compassion

    Exercising Self-Compassion

Life is messy and full of struggle, but there is no need to beat ourselves up when things get hard. Instead, we can practice self-compassion and cultivate a safe internal space to honor our own suffering.

With a million resources to help us be happier and live our best lives these days, we can sometimes be incredibly hard on ourselves when things go awry.

Self-compassion allows us to show up for ourselves in the same way that we would want to support anyone else that we love. It comes down to shifting our internal voice away from criticism and towards loving-kindness.

    Story vs. Fact

    Story vs. Fact

As humans, we are constantly making sense of ourselves and the world around us by creating stories.  We take the facts of a situation and we weave our own meaning around it, and we do this without even thinking.

But when we pause to examine the stories that we are telling, we sometimes find that we don't like our story or that we would prefer to be living out a different story altogether.

Understanding where the facts of our lives begin to bleed into a story is one of the most powerful tools for cultivating a more intentional life and a more intentional relationship with ourselves and all of the people around us.

Facts can't be helped (usually) but stories are always optional. The trick is to learn how to tell our stories on purpose.

    What Other People Think

    What Other People Think

There is nothing more human than caring about what other people think about you. The problem is that we sometimes allow other people's thoughts about us to become more important than our own.

Another person's thoughts about us are almost always more a reflection of them than they are of us. When we internalize external ideas about ourselves instead of choosing what to believe about ourselves intentionally, we end up living for everyone else.

What if you decided that other people are just allowed to be wrong about you?
What if you decided exactly what you want to think and believe about yourself on purpose?

Today's episode will offer you all of the skills and know-how to do just that.
