    007. Crafting a Vision and Building Relationships to Create Your Version of Success With Jordan Montgomery

Not everyone's life is in "stage four," in fact the majority of the people that today's guest works with are some of the top performers in their respective industry, but we all have areas where we strive to be more.

Jordan Montgomery, owner of Montgomery Companies, is a highly regarded performance coach and keynote speaker whose clients include business executives, sales organizations, and entrepreneurs.

In episode seven, Jordan absolutely blew me away with his keys to crafting a long term vision and how to leverage that vision against our own tendency to take the path of least resistance.

We uncover the power of asking good questions.  Not only to others, but of ourselves as well as the importance of owning your story and the other characters in it.  In fact, the key to success as Jordan will shed light on is to make your story about helping and impacting as many others as possible.

With humility, focus, and doing what brings you energy, you will remove the limits that have been placed on you over time and unleash YOUR GIFT to the the world!

    006. Keep Climbing with Sean Swarner | Two -Time Cancer Survivor | Seven Summits | Explorer's Grand Slam | Hawaii Ironman

    006. Keep Climbing with Sean Swarner | Two -Time Cancer Survivor | Seven Summits | Explorer's Grand Slam | Hawaii Ironman

Meet the man who has recently been voted one of the top 8 most inspirational people of all time.

With only one functioning lung, a prognosis of fourteen days to live, and being in a medically-induced coma for a year, Sean Swarner is the first cancer survivor to stand on top of the world… Mt. Everest.

Sean was diagnosed with two deadly, different, and unrelated forms of cancer, once at the age of thirteen and again at the age of sixteen. After an incredibly poor prognosis, and being read his last rites, Sean astounded the medical community when he survived both these brutal diseases. He realized that after defeating cancer twice, no challenge would ever be too great, no peak too high.

Sean proved his theory when he crested the peak of Mt. Everest. As the first cancer survivor to do so, Sean decided to continue climbing and has since topped the highest peaks in Africa, Europe, South America, Australia, Antarctica, and North America, thus completing the “7-Summits”. Upon skiing to both the South and the North Poles, Sean completed the Explorer’s Grand Slam.

With the completion of the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii, Sean is the only person in history to accomplish these feats.

    005. Mindfulness and the Power of Yoga and Meditation with Matthew Repplinger

    005. Mindfulness and the Power of Yoga and Meditation with Matthew Repplinger

Mindfulness, meditation, and yoga are becoming increasingly popular, but it may not be obvious why.  Matthew Repplinger is the founder of Pro Positive Yoga, an author, and a General Manager of the Denver Browns baseball team.  In this episode, we uncover his journey from alcoholism to discovering his love of yoga and how he was able to combine that love with his passion for the game of baseball.  Through a conversation with his father, he was able to be completely honest with himself about where he was at. From the moment he committed to sobriety, his world became a world of opportunity, rather than a series of unfortunate events.

A typical ride on his apartment elevator crossed his paths with Yoga Danny and would forever alter Matthew’s path.  After one of his favorite baseball players, Ryan Freel, committed suicide, he committed to combining his two loves of yoga and baseball to help make the world a better place.  Matthew now consults over a third of Major League Baseball in practicing yoga, and has played an integral role in bringing the popular Yoga Day to Major League Baseball fields across the country.

Pro Positive Yoga believes that a regular yoga practice is beneficial in ways which simultaneously impact core muscle strength and mental focus. Many athletes struggle with a loss of identity at the end of their athletic career. It is common and not just at the professional level... even more so at the amateur and collegiate levels. It’s understandable former athletes will often feel unfulfilled when they don't advance to the next level. Yoga enacts a connection between the mind and the body, it's proven that it creates a greater sense of wellbeing.

You will discover some tips to starting out practicing yoga and meditation along with some powerful methods to help you detach traumatic or defining events from your identity.  We also unwrap the power of visualization and the importance of intention and mindful breathing.

Tune in to see why Matthew finds these books interesting and where he gets his inspiration from today.

    004. Raised By A Gun: Surviving The Rwandan Genocide, With Juste Mukiza

    004. Raised By A Gun: Surviving The Rwandan Genocide, With Juste Mukiza

Imagine being 11 years old when your entire world is turned upside down.  One million people dead in three months. People all around you are being killed and you have to protect yourself,  your friends, and your family while living in a war zone during the Rwandan War and Genocide. One third of your family is wiped out by rebels who invaded the country.

This is the story of Juste Mukiza.

In this episode you will discover:

The Power of Prayer and the role it played in helping him keep the faith and stay strong, eventually leading him and his family the Hotel Rwanda that was featured in the Hollywood Film.

What life was like in the hotel and how he was able to escape the city and flee to Congo and then eventually Kenya.

How his family was finally able to make it to the United States.

You will see how people cope with adverse situations.  The negative impact of alcohol when you are more susceptible to depressive thoughts.

    Together, we unlock:

    • The power of working on yourself.
    • The healing aspect of writing and self-reflection.
    • The benefit of fitness and nutrition on mental health
    • Living in alignment is key to avoiding depression.
    • Creating a vision to manifest your future.

"You don’t get over a pain, you learn how to walk with it and it gets lighter and lighter.  You get stronger to be able to carry it."

    Thoughts for the week:

    1. Which of the three areas Juste talked about do you need the most work?  Prayer, fitness or nutrition? I can attest that much like Juste, when I falter in any of these three areas, my life seems like a struggle.

    2. What ACTION or habit, can you start creating in your life TODAY to make sure you don’t get off track?

    3. The power of working on oneself is crucial.  Do you meditate and self reflect? Create a vision and manifest your future.
