Now that the COVID Shorten IHSA Season is over, we focus on who we are related to Football and recruiting and get into what to be doing now that the Spring 2021 gridiron days are over for High School Players. Zach discusses his son, Owen Freeman, who is 6’ 8” Sophomore who played on varsity last year as a Freshman where he averaged 11.3 points per game, with 7.6 rebounds and had shot an impressive 68.2% from the field for the Boilermakers. 

During the episode Zach discusses the impact of COVID-19 on making sure Owen continues to practice away from BB and his teammates as well as any emotional impact the pandemic may have had or had not on Owen and the Freeman household.

Kurt Weigt, Kankakee Girls Varsity Basketball Coach joins the show.  Coach Weigt has been named the new Head Coach for the Lady Kays and will help lead the Kays to try and achieve an even better record and go farther this year than last year.  Improving on a great record will be hard to do, but Coach Weigt thinks with some adjustments and toughing up the Lady Lays schedule with some top-notch large schools can help the Kay do just that.

Kurt takes the time to talk with us about where he came from growing up and where he has been since his last coaching stint in Kankakee County.  Coach provides an in-depth discussion on the strategies he believes are vital for his players both on and off the field.  He also speaks of his favorite charity and why his choose, National Alliance on Mental Health.
