We have seriously over-complicated practically everything in life (as a collective, but it filters to the individual!). It's time to remember that things don't have to be so hard.

I'm not saying you should expect life to be easy by any means. I AM saying that we're making most things harder than they need to be.

So how do we fix that? We go back to the basics. Lay the foundation first. MASTER the basics before expecting anything to fall into place.

Did you feel an unexplained energy slump recently too? I had a great weekend, and then on Monday, even small things that didn't really matter seemed to hit me harder than they should've. I really couldn't navigate my way out of that funk!

But it also felt like I just needed to move through it, and by the next day, I was better.

I believe we are not meant to deny our human-ness. We are here as humans for a specific purpose: soul growth and ascension.

But there is a collective root chakra imbalance right now. Many are stuck in the root chakra. Some are dealing with a reality of instability and not feeling safe, some are pretending they've figured it out while ignoring their reality, and still others might actually have it figured out but now that they feel the safety and stability in their root, they're unable to move beyond it, afraid of things getting shaken up again.

There is too much focus on the physical body, physical possessions, physical environment, etc. We do need focus there, we do need stability there, but then we need to be willing to move beyond it!! We are so much MORE than our human-ness!

We're back with a new name, The Fire Within, and it's time to get down to business.

The energy in my life is shifting, and I can feel it in the collective, too. We're coming back to balance.

I feel like this new year really is a fresh start, a shift back toward balance. I realized I'd been more in my wounded feminine and wounded masculine energies, and I feel truly ready to shift toward the divine versions of those energies.

It's a balance between mental toughness (masculine energy, a readiness to DO, to get down to business, to drop the excuses) and softness (feminine energy, back to creativity, allowing myself to be both supported and loved fully).

Sometimes we get so focused on what we've been trying to currently manifest that we don't stop to realize that we're living something we asked for ages ago. Clearly this stops us from being able to express true, proper gratitude for receiving it!

It's been a REALLY ROUGH two weeks for me. This energy surrounding the full moon and eclipse has brought cranky kid energy and physical sickness into our space.

Growing up being made fun of, left out, and just generally feeling lonely and invisible led me to wish quite often that I could be someone else, maybe someone famous that I liked or even just one of the popular girls in school.

But I had a moment the other day where I suddenly realized how true it is that we still don't know what anyone else is actually going through despite what we see. And how I can look at those same people I used to wish to be...and see how amazing and important it is for us to be ourselves. To accept our own journeys.

Even if these same people are now living their best life, you could still look at them and know that it's not the kind of life YOU would want. And you can find gratitude for being YOU.

Some people will see that title and laugh. I know it sounds silly and superficial. I mean, isn't helping others the best way to change the world?

After a good few years of going on this journey, I believe that while real-world help is always needed, doing intentional personal work to raise your frequency is the only real way to effect lasting change on this planet.

It's not rainbows and butterflies. There is definite peace to be found in this journey, but there are shadows to face, wounds to heal, and truth to wake up to. And none of it can be forced. But I'll help hold your hair back while you throw up. ;)

You and I might have different ideas of what "the light" means, which "side" is the "good side," but I believe this is relevant to all of us because personally I believe there are no "sides." We might differ on what we think the path should look like, but we all want the same end goals of happiness, peace, unity, etc.

And no matter what, it can feel like a struggle, especially with the constant barrage of negativity and large-scale horrible world events happening all the freaking time lately.

After last week's episode about a plea for more positivity, I started thinking about when it truly is hard to feel hopeful and positive, when you're at rock bottom, dealing with major life-altering loss, etc.
