#7 Luke Richmond - Overcoming Drug Addiction to Become An Extreme Adventurer
Luke Richmond is a full-time author, extreme adventurer and part-time base jumper.
After hitting rock bottom in his early twenties due to drug addiction he managed to set himself straight in the Muay Thai training camps of Thailand which have since snowballed into taking on the world's most extreme challenges.
His adventures have seen him climb the highest mountains on 6 continents, brave -60 degree temperatures in Antarctica along with being held captive in the jungles of West Papua.
He has witnessed death before his eyes on the highest peaks and has found peace in his mind with an ocean row across the Atlantic setting a new world record.
In his most recent expedition, Luke dragged a cart containing all of his food and water across 1800 km of the Gobi Desert in Mongolia becoming the first Australian male to do so.
Lukes way of life is encapsulated by his motto "One Life One Chance” - which is one of two books that he has written.
