This is a bonus episode. Last week, we spoke about a show called BET's "Coming To The Stage". It was the start of my career and my guests (Steve Turner & John Rickenbacker Jr). John & Myself were part of a group called "DV Entertainment". It didn't feel right for us to have a "Coming To The Stage" episode and not invite the 3rd Member of "DV Entertainment".  So I asked my friend, Adrian Mercerdi, to be on The Aftershow. This week, We have Comedian Steve Turner who is a very good friend of @Fudgedacomedian and Myself. He stopped by to promote his new comedy special "OFFEND EVERYBODY". We were about to talk about one of Eddie's big movies but we got sidetracked. We started reminiscing about a TV show that we all did together called "Coming To The Stage". A show that we all bombed on. This episode is hilarious. You get to hear the ins and outs about how it all went down. Steve's joke delivery and storytelling had us in stitches. Even though isn't episode isn't all about Eddie, we still managed to keep Will Smith's Wife's name out of our Muth@F#ckin mouth

Hey MMP Fans... This episode is very different from the others. I wanted to do an episode that highlights another actor's creative body of work. As I go through the archives of Eddie Murphy interviews, I came across a quote that read... "They were trying to make me the Female Eddie Murphy" (Whoopi Goldberg). I thought that was interesting because of what the beginning of her movie career looked like. I wanted to do my research on her, however, I realized that I didn't know that much about her & her movies. Because of this I went to a very reliable source of information... MY FINANCEE (Steph)! She is the biggest Whoopi Goldberg fan. In this episode we talk about what Whoopi's definitive movies are & Why her "Female Eddie Murphy" label didn't work. We pose the question "Do Whoopi Goldberg movies relate to black audiences?" and Why I think "The Color Purple" is the funniest movie of the 80s. All this plus a shoutout to Moms Mabley and more. Returning to the podcast is our guest.. Darien Sills Evans (Abc's The Connors, CBS's East New York). We asked him to comeback to the podcast to give his unbiased opinion on some Eddie Murphy movies that he had never seen before. We talk about the awkward marketing of the movie "Holy Man"; Why I never did an official episode of "Holy Man"; Eddie's movies in the 90s; The insane plot of "Another 48hrs"; possibly getting Doug E Doug, Jeffrey Joseph (Google Him) or Kadeem Hardison on the podcast & Terrible but fun movies of the early 1990s. We drop names of different movies toward the  end. You might wanna google them as well ("Def By Temptation", "Heart Condition". "Hanging with The Homeboys"....etc)

This season resulted in the firing of the whole cast except Eddie Murphy and Joe Piscopo. I had mentioned that I would love to know more about that season. Luck would have it that one of the listeners of the podcast knew a writer from that season. That writer's name is FERRIS BUTLER (SNL 1980-1981). In this episode... We talk about how he came to be a writer on this infamous season; How Eddie Murphy got on the show; His relationship with Gilbert Gotfried & much more. Most importantly.. It was an honor to have Anthony DiDomenico (Host of the podcast formerly known as "Weight Watcher Bros/ WWBros" which chronicled his weight loss journey). He got on this episode to talk about his new motivational podcast "Keep Moving Forward". Ironically, I booked him for the movie "Nutty Professor" which is a movie that we both relate to. We talked about how this movie was the official comeback for Eddie in the 90s. Was Eddie truly in a "Slump" in the 90s? Why doesn't Jada Pinkett Smith age?
