    This is the first installment of a multi-part series where Sean and Jess discuss the history of pop culture with particular emphasis on music.  In this episode, they go back to Africa, Scotland and Ireland to discover the roots of what would eventually become Rock and Roll and how, through transformation in America, those divergent musical styles team up to form popular music of the 1950's.

    Sean and Jess also perform cover versions of "Nothing Compares 2 U" by Cris Cornell and "Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla.

    Sean and Jess interview a former graduate, Michael Anthony Grajewski.  An accomplished bass player, entrepreneur,  and restaurateur, he moved to California to seek fame and fortune and ended up touring with some big name bands like Puddle of Mud, participated in reality TV shows like "The Surreal Life" and "Vanderpump Rules", and then opened a chain of successful restaurants in the L.A. area.

    Quentin and Ryan also introduce two new songs, "Still Believe" and "Halo", and discuss how they wrote them.

    Sean and Jess also perform their renditions of The Grateful Dead's "Stella Blue" and Tedeschi Trucks' "Midnight In Harlem."
