I have with me on the show today, Ben Heldfond and Nikki DeBartolo. They are the founders of the Our Happy Divorce page, and co-authors of Our Happy Divorce, How Ending Our Marriage Brought Us Closer Together. S3 E21: Sexual Abuse Victims, taking away the shame: Mallory Tingey
When is the last time that you've talked about sexual predators with your kids? Are you having age appropriate conversations to help keep your kids safe? Too many of us are turning a blind eye to this topic and something NEEDS to change. Today I talk with Mallory Tingey, who is a survivor of child sexual abuse. It has taken her 20 YEARS to heal from her traumas, and she continues to share and give hope to so many. This is going to be heavy, but we need to talk about this. If you were sexually abused, IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. We need to change the conversation around this so victims no longer feel shame.
