    The Tenth Man

Deep, surprising analysis and commentary on US and world affairs with the goal to "think outside the box".  Original, and different, with no ads or filler.

Once a week we'll do a deep dive into a current topic, pointing out the facts which are hidden in plain sight.   The mainstream media repeat misinformation, we'll show you the obvious truth, and the little-known facts which the experts all know, but have been keeping to themselves.

Is there an epidemic of violence?  No, crime is going down.

Should we accept all the asylum seekers?  We already accept more than any other country.

Topics my be up-to-the-minute, or may be timeless.

All people may be good, but some are misinformed so we'll shine a light on climate change, feminism, vegetarianism, gun control, reverse-discrimination, illegal migration and the radical left.

    Witty, jarring, but always kind.

Brittney Griner Released - Closing the Circle of Drugs, Guns, Drugs and Climate Change

Brittney Griner Released - Closing the Circle of Drugs, Guns, Drugs and Climate Change

An accidental minor smuggler, albeit a famous one, seems unequal compensation for a career smuggler, especially one who acted in our own hemisphere and even against us.  Well, that's the common story - but what about the long-term ramifications of the crimes of Viktor Bout?  His partners, his criminal partners, in Central America have had a huge impact on the environment, on immigration, and arguably on the planet.

Why do the Russians want him, and shouldn't he have stayed in prison?

Meteorites, Marbles and Math - The Misused Statistics of Gun Control

Meteorites, Marbles and Math - The Misused Statistics of Gun Control

The mainstream media and politicians combined with the wealthy gun-ban lobby, tells us over and over how bad it is in the United States, compared to other countries.  A favorite statistic is the relative number of "gun" deaths compared to "certain" countries.  Is this a valid point?  Is it a cause for concern or just political gambit?  Maybe it's somewhere in between.  Why not analyze "all" deaths in all countries?  Why not treat suicides and gang violence separately?

On a given day the mainstream media might report firearm deaths per capita, on another day it's deaths overall.  They change the story to fit the agenda.   Their agenda is always at the forefront, the only consistency is their insistence on more gun laws.  Numbers don't lie, but people can, and deciphering the lie is the job of The Tenth Man.

Pakistan: Climate Victim or Just a Crap-Hole?

Pakistan: Climate Victim or Just a Crap-Hole?

The United Nations COP27 is has its foot on the gas pedal driving the Climate Change machine and the Washington Post is fully on board, reporting on the supposed victimization of Pakistan.   As the UN strives to channel money from west to east, the Climate Change  flim flam has to have shills, and Pakistan is today's man on the stage.    With a large population living on a plain that floods every three years, this country provides the perfect opportunity to claim that regular weather patterns are actually climate disasters caused by Man.  By western Man to be exact.

Explore what are the real factors at play; see what must be ignored if you are to believe this hoax.  Pakistan has full control over the problem, and needs to look inward.  They have vast human resources, but spend their money on warfare while neglecting their infrastructure.

Then when nature strikes anyway, they should follow the example of western nations who took care of themselves in the past as for example in the aftermath of the Great Galveston Hurricane.

As for the rest of the world, they  should then ask the question: if climate change is real, why don't the Climate Doomers  show us victims who are real as well?

The Tuvalu Climate Hustle - Don't be conned

The Tuvalu Climate Hustle - Don't be conned

Tuvalu is the fourth smallest nation in the world but that doesn't mean they cannot exploit the climate change story.  With their highest point just fifteen feet above sea level, the "climate doomers" have awarded victim status to the island nation, and its Prime Minister is speaking before the climate summit like an older Greta Thunberg.

His performance follows last year's speech from the ocean - a stunt worthy of a carnival act or furniture store ad - where the Foreign Affairs minister stood at a lectern knee-deep in the ocean,  claiming the islands were sinking.  (oops, that's not even how rising sea-levels work)

The problem with this scenario is that small islands have never been secure, there have always been storms and  - just why does Tuvalu have a population boom?

Then there's all the  money they already rake in.  Without effort.  From you.

Tuvalu is an island paradise and you're paying for it.  Just like Greta Thunberg's schooner,  they'd like to keep it going.

Why Did Musk Buy Twitter When He Could Have Simply Sued?

Why Did Musk Buy Twitter When He Could Have Simply Sued?

Twitter has been called the modern "Town Square" which is immune to criticism for censorship because it's privately owned.  But does it fit the "Town Hall" model? This episode examines the similarities between Twitter and common carriers which do not have the right to choose what they carry.  Musk might have had his way at far less expense through the simple expedient of suing for fair treatment rather than spending $44 billion on a company of questionable and declining value.

No more "backstop" - Democrats will have to deliver on more than abortion

No more "backstop" - Democrats will have to deliver on more than abortion

Three states have protected abortion rights with their constitutions and it was the electorate who get the credit.  How will Democrats campaign in 2024 without this key issue which is all they had to cling to.
Voters in California, Vermont and Michigan approved ballot initiatives to protect abortion rights, so there is little for a Democrat to "protect" or "fight for".
As ballot initiatives, there was no legislation, no negotiation, no real action from the elected officials, especially in Michigan with its renegade ballot initiative process.
These developments will put pressure  on the Democrats to show any achievements in 2024, because abortion rights are secure in these states, and made secure without the help of the Democrats elected on that campaign plank.

Why vote early? - How the next "illegitimate" Republican will be determined

Why vote early? - How the next "illegitimate" Republican will be determined

The Paul Pelosi situation however it turns out shows us that events can turn right up to election day.  October surprises are nothing new, and the democratic push for early voting will eventually result in the election of someone nobody wants, or who is no longer available, eligible or just not able to perform the office.

Stop Your Passive Support of the Trans Movement

Stop Your Passive Support of the Trans Movement

The transgender movement may have all the backing of the woke left, but that does not mean you have to take part.  You are now contributing to sex change operations and will until you take action to stop.  You don't have to hate, but you don't have to help either.  The means is obvious.  Take charge.

French Roast - An unfair but funny lambasting of America's Oldest Ally

French Roast - An unfair but funny lambasting of America's Oldest Ally

"My country is great; sorry about yours."  First in a series of tongue-in-cheek critiques of other countries.  It seems that outlandish criticism of the US is always in style, so we begin with roasting France, our oldest ally to demonstrate how easy it is to make another look bad when you can make up the rules as you go along.

Australian Gun Control - Why the Port Arthur gun buyback cannot be declared a success

Australian Gun Control - Why the Port Arthur gun buyback cannot be declared a success

The Port Arthur massacre of 1996 drove a political wedge into logic with the abrupt creation of the National Firearms Agreement.  The mainstream media continually tout this gun control effort as a success, but without ever proving it, or even exploring its details.  The Tenth Man provides a concise examination of the cycle of events leading up to it, the knee-jerk reaction, the forgotten character of the shooter, and an evaluation of politicians' love affair with gun laws which leads them to gun control as the solution to every problem
