Robert Frost is quoted as saying, “Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.” No doubt Frost wrote when poetry, though perhaps somewhat declining in its influence, realized the special power that poetry had in articulating the full meaning of human communication. In the case of this interview, we can note that Lawrence R. Berger- or as he is sometimes called, “Laughing Larry Berger” has taken poetry so seriously that he has put it in his sales training and other motivational programs, his books and, of course, his poetry readings. In this unusual interview, we meet someone with a huge record of writing, selling and presenting poetry to audiences with an even huger record of participating in an enormous number of sales activities prior to his active mentorship in sales to audiences. But he does many other types of presentations as well, including ways to make money writing on line, self-publishing and traditional publishing seminars- even three cures for the 800 phone syndrome (overcoming blockages in telemarketing.” Larry is someone who has been a successful oil and gas commodities broker, worked in the field with multi-levels, was marketing director of a literary agency, had a Baskin-Robbins franchise, and author of nine books, a screenwriter and had his own company for his own self-performing arts. He is also the winner of Toastmasters Competent Communicator Award. His undertaking of so many ambitious and public projects may have been fueled by his realization that it takes tenacity and personal commitment to succeeed. In fact, in his life he has faced death many times through an unfortunate succession of automobile accidents. But in recuperating from an early one, he made the commitment to change his life- and now, after many experiences and a lot of good fortune, he wants to pay it back by focusing on mentoring- but still never giving up his function and his gift of poetry.

In our last show with Paula Lenz, we heard how Paula, filled with grief and despair after the death of her brother, Don, was driving towards her Grandmother’s house, when she suddenly developed the ability to see 36o degrees around her, realizing that somehow, she had moved into a different plane of existence. At the same time, she felt a hand on her shoulder and realized that it was her deceased brother, Don, talking to her in a world beyond death. Although her brother and the holographic landscape appeared to be composed of pinpoints of light rather than opaque forms, she could clearly see the contours of this amazing new world and clearly recognize her brother. From this perspective, she was enfolded deeper and deeper into the Oneness which was the hallmark of this new world. Her communion with this oneness was so great that she experienced the total knowledge of the past, present and future of all things, all encompassed in an umbrella of vast, unconditional love. When she returned, although she never died or had anything like a Near Death Experience, she found herself a changed person- telepathic, having very accurate premonitions and now so obsessed with the spiritual nature of her experience, she began reading voluminously about these kinds of experiences- most all related, but not identical to her own. She found herself, an English major, now drawn entirely to non-fiction. She then joined the Unity Church, seeking a church that could find some credence with her discoveries and the universal experience she had uncovered as the hidden reality behind the human experience. In this program, Paula reveals how communication with her brother, at some moments resembling the famous case of Bishop Pike, whose deceased son allegedly communicated with him, giving him a change of heart that changed his relation to the Episcopal Church. These communications may have ultimately resulted in a revelation that saved her entire family’s life. Much of her experience after her communion with unconditional love in its purest forms, resembles some of Dannion Brinkley’s past NDE experience. Brinkley was one of the main subjects of Dr. Raymond Moody, whose research encompassed the first early research into the Near Death and Shared Death experience, both of which resemble, to some extent, Paula’s rather unique experience. As her official press release says, “Dr. Janice Holden, Professor at the University of North Texas and a renowned Researcher on Near-Death Experience and other after death outreach, wrote the book’s Afterword. She explains that Paula’s experience is an unusual one and defies exact classification as it has attributes and aftereffects of an After Death Communication (ADC), Shared Death Experience (SDE) and a Near-Death Experience (NDE). Even the circumstances of her experience are unusual in that she left her body while she was driving her brother’s personal truck!”

For those curious about what life is like after death, this show reveals remarkable new human experience going beyond what has been commonly called the Near Death Experience, whose early research was developed by Dr. Raymond Moody and followed by his newer research into what is called the Shared Death Experience. In fact, in Paula Lenz experience, recorded in this interview on Threshold Radio, shows how a living person can plucked out of the realm of the living by a person now fully residing in the land of the Dead- in this case, her brother, Don. The event occurred during a time she was driving, still struck by unyielding and painful grief, testing her will to live and enjoy her life. At that time, she was safely driving when she was hurtled by her unexpected companion, the very brother she was mourning into a new world and entirely new perspective on life and death. It is a message of love, the grandeur of the mystical experience and a departure of the world view ascribing death to the end of human existence. As Kenneth Ring, Ph. D., author of Lessons from the Light and one of the founders of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS), said, Paula Lenz’s book shows how the deepest grief can unlock the greatest spiritual treasures. The story of how the death of her beloved brother Don also provided her – and us – with incontrovertible evidence of life after death should convince any skeptic that we live after we die.

The Entrepreneurial Mindset Part I features an Interview with Eric Kinnamon, called K by his friends and associates. This program highlights K’s path from combat nurse in the United States Army for eight years to working as an ICU nurse employed in hospitals to an important transition to his role in the same hospitals as an independent contractor, a position with a higher paygrade and more flexibility in hours. During various points before he became a professor, he was actually working as a nurse but moonlighting in IT positions, where his abilities were informed by his undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems or M.I.S. . In the program, he explains how his path to teaching business strategy and entrepreneurship was informed by his in-the-field practical experience. It used to be that entrepreneurship was almost a dirty word in the world of academic education and degrees. The advance of this most American of aspirations has continually made our country a leader in technology and, ironically, has been ignored until the last few decades by undergraduate and graduate programs where it is now currently blossoming. Yet many Americans do not even remotely know of this phenomenon and the dreams goals of many young people to become entrepreneurs still do not collide much with the programs of academia. Yet real education, saL’dly ignored so often, in academic curriculum may have hope yet, in this field and others, owing to the meshing of practical and limitless realities inspired by entrepreneurial teachers and coaches of the likes of K Kinnamon.

This is our second interview with Michael Priv on his book,“You Are A Psychic- The Healer’s Handbook.” It is called “The Piv Healing Protocol” and discusses the complex mechanics Michael uses to engage in both up close and person and healing at a distance. Michael’s procedures are very complex and exacting and, according to his protocol demand a sense of absolute certainty on the part of the healer, regardless of the obstacles. There must be complete confidence of the outcome of the healing efforts or it will not work. This is generally a process which one engages in alone and there are difficulties which one usually has to resolve oneself. Besides certainty, there is also a certain matter of discretion when you are handling discussions with clients. Also, there is a clear limit to how many clients you can handle at once. Not only is there an initial healing session but there may be multiple checks on the client. There is a simple meditation to start with but complexities in diagnosing problems and in the actual curative techniques which involve a kind of remote viewing, an ability, along with others, that needs to be developed. Also, one needs to learn how to work with spiritual light, the mysterious basis for both meditation and this form of psychic healing, according to Michael Priv. This book begins with a disclaimer, which I am publishing here and which also applies to anyone who is listening to this program: This Handbook is a tool of spiritual enhancement. It is intended for development of spiritual skills and abilities. It is not intended as a substitute for medical help and does not advocate the abolishment of medical services. Any medical condition should be checked by a qualified medical doctor. This is an exciting interview explaining the PIV Healing Protocol

Threshold Radio with Johnny Blue Star After our first interview with Michael Priv on his autobiographical book, The Golden Fleece, Diary of a Scientology Warrior, we decided to take a close look at another book of his called “You Are A Psychic- The Healer’s Handbook.” We have devoted two broadcasts to this book, the first being on his journey to developing this elaborate system of healing and the second more or less on the mechanics of that protocol. Michael left Scientology after having been convicted of “treason” by a Scientology tribunal. After being more or less confined in their rehabilitation center, in reality very closely approximating an actual jail, he managed to escape. Now, after decades of work for the Sea Org, a Scientology organization, he had to rebuild his life at the age of 45. Part of this effort- besides needing to find work- was to probe more deeply into spirituality. To this effort, he studied dozens of the world religions but also began to probe different spiritual teachings. Three of his influences were Wayne Dyer, Christie Marie Sheldon and Michael Beckwith, whose books he read and whose exercises he practiced. During one of the exercises presented by Michael Beckwith, he had an extraordinary mystical experience- and realized with certainty his divine connection for the first time. This is an exciting interview showing the evolution of a psychic healer.

Scientology has been of intense interest to many people though out the world and has been the subject of many books, videos and some documentaries, apart from the simply overflowing output of its own publications and media developed out of the original writings of L. Ron Hubbard. No, the outside feedback has not always been very encouraging. What is interesting about Michael Piv’s book, The Golden Fleece, Diary of a Scientology Warrior, is that Michael found very valuable material in the science of Scientology but some rather grave problems with the Church of Scientology. And he is definitely a force to contend with since he was in charge of a massive number of core translations in many different countries and also fairly high in the hierarchy of Sea Org, Hubbard’s internationally often ocean-bound organization in command of many important administrative and promotional functions in Scientology. This interview stresses certain key areas in Michael’s decades-long involvement with Scientology. One area is how he was recruited and the way Scientology very early changed his life- I think generally in a very good way- because it turned his sense of himself into a person who wanted to be of real service to others. His exploration of auditing and counselling within the scientology context produced in him a sense of the genuine value of certain areas in the scientology teachings, but it also gave him a sense of the limits of that teaching. This interview, like the book does (but in much more detail) gives various details about not only what he learned but his genuine clashes and also careful restraint in dealing with a massive bureaucracy. To me, it was very fascinating how Michael managed to keep a very high sense of his individuality in a system that was often designed to press people in a conformity generated by the fear and retribution if the need for absolute obedience was entirely adhered to. Michael was so knitted to his individuality, even in relationship to his dealing with rules outside of Scientology- say, when in other countries- that he put himself in a certain amount of risk- especially when in the Soviet Union and dealing with some very angry members of the KGB who threatened his very existence because of his desire to propagate scientology teaching up to and including the actual fall of the Soviet Union. This book is dramatic at times, hysterical at other times, has its share of raunchiness and entirely self-conscious and intentional rebellion, but also conveys a certain respect for the core teachings of Scientology often absent in other more pejorative books and media. Some of this part (whether true or not I cannot really tell) is quite amazing, particularly his understanding of the meaning if and e-meter technology dealing with the engrams, used to uncover and eliminate often troublesome reactions to events often not understood by a person experience some pain or behavioral aberration.

Johnny Blue Star & Hugo Rodier, an integrative physician with a concern for the political health of the citizens of the U.S.- discuss the legal, human rights and political challenges following the Trump Presidency decision to move the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel. Considering Trump’s earlier commitment to help resolve the Israeli/Palestinian issue, his manner of doing so more or less shocked the world. In the interest of quickly resolving the issue of Israel’s more-or-less annexation of the whole of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in 1980- and the virtually immediate Security Council denial of the legality of that move, Israel did not capitulate, although most countries eventually complied with the Council’s demand to have all embassies remove themselves from Jerusalem. Later, in the 1990s, the U. S. Congress decided to move the Embassy, going against Resolution 478 of the Security Council. Still, Congress granted the right for the President to defer the move for six months through a signed waiver- and no President until Trump actually made that move. Our discussion, in this show, focuses a great deal on the time period before and after the Security Council resolution- meant to keep the United States from making that move. The move was preceded by Nikki Haley, the UN representative from the United States, threatening to “take names” and possibly hold back funds based on the votes of individual members. This was countered by Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki, who noted that Haley was attacking their sovereign right to vote by attaching a price tag to their voting. Haley’s speech after the vote was even more emphatic. Blue Star and Rodier discuss the kind of imperialistic motivation lying behind so much of the behavior of the United States and its effect on various states in the United Nations.

Johnny Blue Star & Hugo Rodier, an integrative physician with a concern for the political health of the citizens of the U.S.- discuss the thorny controversial move of the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel, its global implications and its challenges to the legal foundations of certain elements of International Law. Blue Star and Rodier present the religious reasons why East Jerusalem was projected to be the capital of Palestine- including a mention of the sacred sites on both the East and West areas of the Holy City. They then discuss Trump’s declaration of his intention to try and broker the peace and his choice of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner to handle the details. The fact that Jared Kushner is an orthodox Jew, whose family is close to Netanyahu, the current Prime Minister of Israel and whose family trust has significantly financed Israeli causes, including the hotly contested settlements by Israel in Gaza- does raise credibility as a significant emissary to serve the cause of peace in the region. The settlement issue is also discussed as an extremely contentious issue which opponents claimed to have violated various international agreements, including the Fourth Geneva Convention, the Hague Regulations of 1907 as well as various Security Council Resolutions. The pre-knowledge of the consequences of the move by the State Department was widely evidenced by the events immediately following the U.S. official declaration to move the Embassy.

Johnny Blue Star begins the program by explaining the spiritual mission of Threshold Radio vis-à-vis political commentary. Is the media really being fair to the President because he did not initially condemn the hatemongers in the Charlottesville protests? But even so, hasn’t the President revealed his bias against minorities in the deportation and travel ban scenarios? And, further, hasn’t he jeopardized the security of his own base by offering jobs without adequately protecting them once they obtain their jobs. Trump seems to be against lifting minimum wages, preserving reasonable regulations regarding financing and the environment, restoring the citizen rights challenged by the last two administrations, being responsive to minority and court problems with the direction of his administration. Can we really love our opponent in the midst of serious conflict, especially when lives and lifestyle are at risk as in the case of war- and, in particular, the possible nuclear confrontation with North Korea? Johnny and Dr. Hugo Rodier, MD. discuss the “fire and fury,” fear-invoking rhetoric used to address the North Koreans which has had a wide impact on many countries around the world with the reasonable inference that Trump was talking about a nuclear strike.

Threshold Radio is happy to present CHALLENGES TO THE REPUBLIC with Johnny Blue Star and Hugo Rodier. In this program, we call on Hugo Rodier, M.D., who has often spoken and will continue to work with us on health issues, to also take part as a co-host in our general discussions. Throughout the years of our friendship and professional relationship, he has demonstrated the kind of ethical and spiritual perspective that I believe is valuable to broaden our show’s horizon. In this discussion, we respond to the latest missile threat by North Korea. Why is our official policy to talk to them- but only after they agree to give up their nuclear ambitions? Isn’t that precisely why we should talk to them. We further discuss the astounding transgender ban on their participation in the military, a policy proclamation released on Twitter without real consultation with the military. We further discuss Dr. Rodier’s profound insights into our health bill debates and the recent defeat of the ‘Skinny Repeal’ of Obama Care.

This program begins with a story Johnny Blue Star relates about how his life-threatening asthmatic symptoms were reversed through a simple dietary change. This experience opened his mind to alternative concepts of healing, especially after developing two radio shows devoted to alternative medicine. Fast forward decades to Johnny’s meeting with Doctor Rodier who turned his attention to what is now called Integrative Medicine. Dr. Rodier is a medical doctor who especially focuses on nutrition as one of the main factors in causing ill health. Dr. Rodier was aware of the value of nutrition from the very start of his practice, choosing a family practice and spurring the money-driven lure of certain types of pharmaceutically-based specialties. His work is now centered on the practice of Integrative Medicine and disseminating this information through his website, videos, books and broadcasts. In this program, Dr. Rodier goes over the 12 principles involved in Integrative Medicine, which focuses on the health and well-being of the whole patient through evidence-based solutions, including a careful look at nutritional and environmental components that might be effecting his or her health. An integrative physician, when appropriate, might use some supplements or pharmaceuticals but should never be “pushing” them on his patients nor should they be overprescribing hormones. On this show, Dr. Rodier will cover all these and other principles and practices of Integrative Medicine.

Threshold Radio with Johnny Blue Star In this show, we go directly into key elements in the disruptive behavior of politics and economics with Sarah Westall, host of Business Game Changers. The conversation is wide-ranging with various clips of experts in various fields- including a prosecutor of major SEC violations, the inventor of Block Chain (famously used in cryptocurrency), the former director of the US Mint, an author and lecturer previously employed as an economic hitman, a co-founder of the Tea Party, all of which have participated in the powerfully disruptive and ever-changing technology and policies that leave us amazed, worried and perplexed. Is the Fed a rogue organization that needs to be audited? What is the future of Bitcoin and other experimental currencies? How has the Patriot Act changed the complexion of our citizen rights? Can 3-D printers actually change human cells and tissue? Do we really go into developing countries and deliberately lend them funds so we can encumber them with debt? Sarah Westall is the courageous host and producer of Business Game Changers, a radio show devoted to analyzing disruptive technology, paradigm shifts and big issues facing government and commercial enterprises through key interviews with the heads of companies, scientists and technologists involved in creating these powerful new realities.
