Unsolved Murder: Stacey Colbert and the Hunt for the Monster in a Mask // Episode 10 Part 1 of 3

    Part 1 of 3
1998 UNSOLVED HOMICIDE IN COLUMBUS, OHIO
    STACEY B. COLBERT

"I won’t bury the leed-let me come out and say that I do believe there is a man out there who is responsible for killing Stacey, and he is walking free. And this man is likely living with demons over and over- and I also believe he has a friend from that time who knows information who has also tried to carry on with his life, but lives in the shadow of his dark secrets. My point is this- someone knows something and they’re choosing to instead live a life free from judicial consequences. We can only hope that whoever has information and has been withholding isn’t out living on a beach somewhere, relaxing, and living like this never happened. I hope we can help bring them the skeletons out of their dark closet and let Stacey’s friends and family finally have answers- something they’ve been denied for over 20 years."

Despite the chilling obstacles, we're determined to reignite the fight for Stacey Colbert and shed light on the ongoing challenges faced by cold cases like hers. We discuss how crucial it is to support the missing ones and their loved ones, ensuring their stories remain alive in the minds of people. Join us as we keep the flame of hope burning for Stacey, with a firm belief that together, we can bring her long-awaited justice.

Mysterious Disappearance of Kay-Alana Turner: Mental Health and Law Enforcement // Episode 9// Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of 2 on our coverage of the current missing person Kay-Alana Turner.

What if there was a missing person case where the victim was also facing charges for aggravated assault on a public servant? What if the police report and news reports of this case didn't quite align?  In part 2 of 2, Jules and Jo will take you deep into the heart of the bewildering case of the disappearance of Kay-Alana Turner.

As we tread into this sensitive territory, we highlight the importance of compassion and mental health awareness, and how the presence of a mental health crisis expert could potentially have altered the narrative. We'll also explore potential solutions for Harris County to better protect their citizens and stress on the need to read official police reports before sharing information.

Unraveling the Mystery: The Suspicious Death of Grant Solomon // Ep. 8 Part 3 of 3

    Episode 8 Part 3 of 3
    Grant Solomon
In July of 2020 , Grant Solomon, an 18 year old Caucasian boy from middle Tennessee was looking forward  to graduating high school and becoming an adult. Friends recall Grant as being an incredible  and stand up guy- a great friend and dedicated athlete.  He had his entire life ahead of him, yet he had the weight of the world on his shoulders- his home life was nothing less than chaotic and unstable. His parents were involved in a horrible multi year custody battle, and his younger sister Gracie was confiding to her mother and many other adults in mandatory-reporter roles that her father was allegedly sexually abusing her. The case we have to share with you today is incredibly important because it involves the continued safety of a minor who has continuously reached out for help from authorities to protect her from her father- the same father many people also believe was responsible for the death of his son, Grant Solomon. A disclaimer to add- everything is alleged and we will provide all our sources where any theories were discussed in the public press. We are not accusing anyone of murder, instead, we are simply asking the proper authorities to do their jobs and investigate this case ethically, morally, and to the standard of the law they made oaths to enforce.

    Episode 7, Part 2of 4
Bind them. Torture Them. Kill Them. A three-step process in fulfilling one man’s sick and demonic sexual fantasies. So why share the story? Why do we give these monsters more attention and discussion? Because they took the lives of people who aren’t here to speak up any longer, yet we can. And we will, and we’re here to make sure nobody celebrates this monster.

There’s nothing glorifying about murder. And yet, there are so many entertainment platforms which choose to focus solely on it- just like us. There are numerous articles, podcasts, books, and docuseries on this serial killer. So  should we do one? We’re intrigued with the criminal psychology behind what drives humans in the most evil form- what are the motives? What was their life like? What were the early signs? Was there trauma? Could it have been prevented? Was justice served? Is justice even a fair word to throw out there; can there ever be justice for victims of a murder? In order to learn from it, we must analyze it and know how to approach future cases so that one day, Jo and I won’t have job because there will no more murders to report.

Missing Adult with Special Needs: Heather Bloom, Where Are You? // Ep. 5

In 2005, Heather Bloom is a 28-year-old adult Caucasian female with Down syndrome when she is last seen in Berkeley, California.  Police are called to the apartment she shares with her caretaker, her sister Shari, over reports of alleged yelling coming from inside the residence. The fight is between Shari and their visiting mother, Phyllis. Upon arrival, police note that the disturbance has been resolved and they document the call and leave.  It is not until four years later, in 2009, however, that Heather is reported missing. Now, hear this: She was living with her sister who was her full-time caregiver, yet it would be their MOTHER who reports Heather missing, stating she has not seen or heard from Heather in FOUR years.  And one of the members of the family has since moved out of the country.

This is the disappearance of Heather Bloom and the strange circumstances surrounding this unsolved case. To this day, she remains a missing person, but she doesn’t have to remain that way -- you may have the key to finding Heather.

    America's Only Unsolved Skyjacking: D.B. Cooper // Ep. 3

As the rest of the country was settling in and finalizing holiday meals, a man in his mid-forties with unremarkable features, yet a quiet and steady demeanor, walks through the Portland International Airport. It’s Thanksgiving Eve 1971. He approaches the ticket agent at Northwest Orient Airlines and requests to purchase a one-way ticket to Seattle aboard flight 305 -- a mere 25-minute journey in the air.

The Boeing 727 holds the man and 36 other passengers. He is kindly served a bourbon and soda, but before settling in for the rest of the flight, he brings a briefcase to his lap and calls over to the stewardess. What she witnesses next will change not only the course of the flight, but her life, for everyone on board is about to become involved in the most notorious unsolved flight hijacking in American history. Her eyes glance into the man’s case and widen as she realizes what she sees -- a bomb.

Missing: Matthew Weaver Jr. // Ep. 2

Matthew Jonathan Weaver, Jr., 5’ 9” or 5’ 10”, has a slender build and is about 130 to 140 pounds. He has a tattoo above his heart on his chest that says "Jeremiah," his late uncle’s name. He is a kind and thoughtful young man, with a deep love for dogs and his family.

And he’s been missing since 2018.

Matthew is barely getting his feet wet into adulthood at 21 when he mysteriously and tragically goes missing in Los Angeles* on August 10, 2018. To this day, Matthew’s case remains an open and unsolved missing-person case. We want to continue the incredible efforts of To Live and Die in LA: The Curious Case of Matthew Weaver podcast which covered Matthew’s disappearance. The more eyes, ears, and hearts focused on his story, the better. Pay attention, because you never know -- you may be the one who can help Matthew’s family find him and bring him home.

04/24/2023 Updates:  We were contacted by a family member of Matthew's who stated that the shirt and hat were tested against Matthew's DNA and the results were determined "inconclusive".

*We also incorrectly labeled his point of missing as Simi Valley in the intro.  He was FROM Simi Valley which is just outside of Los Angeles, where he went missing. All the GPS coordinates are in our notes on our website as well as street names and exact locations of items found.

Bonnie and Clyde: Reckless Killers, NOT Lovers - Part 1 of 3 // Ep.1

This is Bonnie and Clyde - Part 1. It is also our inaugural podcast!

On an empty road in Oklahoma, an injured, petite woman cautiously steps out of the passenger side of a black Ford V8 automobile  -- the windshield covered with bullet holes. Her companions, two other men seemingly in their mid-twenties, are visibly weak and shaken. With their car stuck in the mud, they have become what they made so many others in their path: sitting targets.

The trio flag down a passing truck and wave their weapons in the air, demanding to be towed up the road. Another passerby quickly drives by, finding the scene suspicious. He drove on into the nearby town of Commerce and went to the police.

By the time two officers arrived, the truck was gone, but the mysterious trio and their Ford remained.

As was routine, the officers exited their vehicle to investigate, only to hear the woman yell wildly upon noticing them. Now with their weapons drawn, the officers continue to move toward the car.

Two machine guns appeared from the car and began firing at them. Although the officers could return three or four shots, one was hit in the abdomen -- a bullet severing his spine and making him the final victim of Bonnie and Clyde.
