Killer Queen of Cocaine: Griselda Blanco's Ruthless Ascent to Narco Royalty // Ep. 18 Part 1 of 3

Could the violent struggles of a young girl in Colombia sow the seeds for one of the most fearsome empires in criminal history? Griselda Blanco was a woman who would stop at nothing to claim power and instill fear.

Feel the tension mount as we trace Griselda's footsteps from the violent streets of Colombia to the drug-laden avenues of New York and Miami, illuminating her ascent to narco royalty.  Throughout the United States in the 1970s and 1980s she outmaneuvered rivals and law enforcement alike.

Join me for an intimate examination of a woman whose life was a complex web of ambition, murder, and legacy—an iron-fisted reign that transformed the landscape of the international drug trade forever. This is not just another true crime story; it's an unflinching portrait of a queen in a world ruled by kings.

Unraveling the Unsolved: Keith Roberson's Mysterious Texas Disappearance//Ep. 16 Part 2 of 2

Have you ever laid awake at night, pondering the fate of someone you once knew who just vanished into thin air? The perplexing disappearance of Keith Robertson, a 26-year-old from Texas, holds a narrative rife with unanswered questions and a mother's unwavering resolve.

As Sharmon, Keith's relentless mother, navigates the thorny path of searching for her son, we walk alongside her, sharing in the frustration and heartbreak. Imagine knocking on countless doors, piecing together a son's last movements, while grappling with the legal complexities slowing down the search. We explore the influence of Keith's legal issues, his father Bubba's bewildering behavior, and the potential impact of personal struggles on his disappearance. Each twist in this tale beckons us to consider the darker corners of a life interrupted, where every lead begs more questions than it answers.

The community's role in rallying together for those gone missing, regardless of their past, is a powerful testament to our shared humanity. In our conversation, we amplify Sharmon's impassioned plea for a united front in the search for the lost. Through her eyes, we see the value of every individual, and her message resonates as a poignant reminder of our societal duty. This episode isn't just a recount of a tragic mystery; it's a call to action, urging us to uphold the belief that every person, including Keith, deserves to be found and remembered.

The Death of Elijah McClain: The Case With Legal Accountability- Who Was Responsible for His Death?//Ep. 15 Part 3 of 3

    PART 3 OF 3

On August 24th, 2019, a healthy 23 year old 5’6” and 140 pound African American man just starting his adult life named  Elijah McClain was apprehended and detained by police in Aurora, Colorado after a phone call was made to police by a concerned community member about a man walking on the street while looking suspicious wearing a ski mask.

And it’s just days later when Elijah McClain is declared dead.

This is the controversial case of the alleged wrongful death of Elijah McClain- and how this case forced law enforcement to review their protocols and policies to prevent subsequent deaths- and how the court system acknowledged that there was enough evidence in the wrongful handling of Elijah McClain to bring the first responders to court on charges of criminal manslaughter.

(This is a more light-hearted episode as far as hosting goes!)

Today’s Spooky Tale brings us to our own backyard- here in middle Tennessee- and just a few towns over in the small, country town of Adams- with a population of 634 residents. Sitting nestled on the outskirts of Robertson County, TN, which is the largest producer of wood fired tobacco, it boasts a folklore tale like no other. Don’t let the small town size fool you- this story will involve then General Andrew Jackson- future president of the United States.

Echoes from Salem: A Study of Witch Hunts and Mass Hysteria // Ep. 13 Part 2 of 2

A mole on your face, a confession before your peers, the ownership of a voodoo doll called a poppet,  reading anything other than a Bible- owning a book other than a Bible, dancing….those are all signs that someone has signed their soul away to the devil. And in the late 1600s in Salem, Massachusetts, a small Puritan village erupted into mass hysteria which is now known worldwide as the Salem Witch Trials. With no separation of church and state, the power to kill in the name of their beliefs meant that law enforcement enforced the Biblical teachings as strongly as the citizen codes. Between years 1692 and 1693, 25 innocent men, women, and children would lose their lives as victims of the massive witch hunt led by the religious leaders- 19 were hanged, 1 pressed to death, and 5 died in prison- all killed by those  who had motives much more sinister- I am going to take you into the ugly underbelly of the Salem Witch Trials and we’ll dive deep into a few particular stories of a few of victims- stories which should be known and there’s a lot to learn from this tragic and historical event.

    Let’s Go.
