EP32: High-Performance Achievers with Dr. Jeff Spencer

In this week's episode, Tamara Thompson shares an insightful and value-packed conversation with Dr. Jeff Spencer, the man behind Cornerman Elite Performance Coaching. In the past 40 years, he has been helping the most prolific achievers of our time from various disciplines tap into their highest potential by changing their habits, strengthening their minds, and giving them the tools to achieve excellence.

Here are the key ideas we covered in this episode:

✔️ Playing at the top is a learned behavior. Jeff emphasizes that becoming and living as a champion is not an accident; instead requires deliberate, purposeful, daily actions.

✔️ Learn why Jeff says that video is undoubtedly the medium of the present and the future

✔️ High performers who are afraid of the camera should get better at it through the process of actually doing it. Jeff built his online presence in 2020 by doing a Facebook Live even if he didn't feel like it and just showed up, and I just did it every single day. "I found that I was good at it, and I liked it. But I had to get beyond the embarrassment of doing it, beyond the 'I'm not sure if I can do this.' The usual questions we ask ourselves in advance when we're afraid of doing something scary and new. And now I can show up and do them without any hesitation. I made peace with the camera."

✔️ Champions utilize video to do some "dress rehearsals" so that you can understand and see yourself as you really are. You may presume yourself to be some way, but if you don't show up and you're not really who you think you are in terms of your presentation, it's probably a good idea if you can improve what you do by actually watching yourself do it.

Dr. Jeff Spencer is "The Cornerman Titans Turn To." He has worked with our generation's movers and shakers in the past four decades, from Richard Branson, Tiger Woods, Lance Armstrong, U2, Dave Asprey, and many more.

He's a full-time entrepreneur, world traveler, dancer, and connector who works with amazing influencers and online marketers in the world and specializes in creating Instagram campaigns reaching millions.

Here are the key areas we covered in this episode:

    • Listen to Zach's story as a shy Asian with a speech impediment to becoming an Instagram Master building a marketing agency with a network of 220 million followers!
    • Leverage the power of video and learn how Zach built an empire on Instagram working with some of the biggest brands in the world, like Ritz Carlton and a lot of tourism boards and countries like Dubai and people that want to become more prominent influencers like Russell Brunson and Les Brown.

    • Learn to master Instagram Reels and create micro-content that will pique people's interest and capture their attention in a couple of seconds!

EP30: Clubhouse Clubs with Randi Zuckerberg

EP30: Clubhouse Clubs with Randi Zuckerberg

    Clubhouse Clubs | Randi Zuckerberg

If you're on Clubhouse, I'm sure you've heard of the Club feature recently just opened up to everyone! People are definitely buzzing about the new aspect of starting a club in this fast-growing audio chat app. In this episode, learn how to leverage clubs in Clubhouse and know when to start one if you are looking for business success and building your personal brand. Or think about if YOU should really start a Club, is it for you?

    Key takeaways:

✅ Understand that if you're going to start a club, you need to make sure that it's vibrant and bustling. If you went to an actual conference and all of the rooms were empty, except for one room, that's probably NOT a conference you would want to go to, right?

✅ How much time do you want to commit to this app? Are you consistent? If you don't have the time, the energy, or the bandwidth to do that, don't start a club, and leverage other communities that resonate.

✅ Think about the audience you're serving and the overall mission in impacting and inspiring other people with your content. Joining other people's clubs allows you to help share-worthy causes and create an experience for other people too.

✅ It takes a lot of work to build a community from scratch. It might be worth it for some businesses to do that. Still, for most of us, you're much better off leveraging someone else's community by joining other people's clubs. It is just like being a keynote speaker, it is much easier to go speak at someone else's event than put on your own, there is so much time, thought, money, and effort that goes into hosting your own event. I know this very well, especially after hosting seven big events now!

EP29: How to Grow Your Influence with Media

EP29: How to Grow Your Influence with Media

How to Grow your Influence with Media

Is it your goal to see more supporters and positive engagements but don't understand precisely how to do it? Then,  you have to grow and boost your influence with the help of the media. What this implies for your company or business is a validated reputation as an authority in your niche.

However, it's worth noting that social influence is established over time and takes constant focus and engagement with your audiences. But the journey is worth it when you start building valuable connections with potential clients.

In this video of Video Marketing for Business, I've invited Esther Kiss, the PR and media go-to. She'll share how you can use media to maximize your reach and build your influence as an authority in your niche.

Key takeaways covered in the episode:

    • Recognize that credibility is a significant aspect of what video and media can do to help position you as your niche's authority.

    • Understand that a two-pronged approach of having credibility with the big brand media and doing online media is where most people see the best results.

    • Presentability is the key. It's a rule of thumb to be always presentable.

    • Be continuously reminded to offer a golden nugget. Allow your audience to learn something new from you because that's how trust is built and how they start buying from you.

    • Implement your strategies based on the principle that messaging is a vital part of monetization, and consistency and exposure create that omnipresence. When you know your audience and your message, you can then use retargeting strategies to promote your interviews — it can be very powerful.

EP28: Cassandra Bankson: Regrets When Starting a YouTube Channel That Hit One Million+ Subscribers

EP28: Cassandra Bankson: Regrets When Starting a YouTube Channel That Hit One Million+ Subscribers

On the Video Marketing for Business podcast, I teach the essence of video marketing and the opportunity it presents to connect with your audience more effectively and globally. In this week's episode, my good friend Cassandra Bankson joins us for some value-packed sharing on how at the age of 25, she achieved her huge success on Youtube.

Cassandra's journey started from insecurity growing up. She was a model but had severe cystic acne covering 90 percent of her face, chest, and back. Struggling with the condition and being retouched in a magazine and being put on billboards or advertisements made her feel bad knowing that young girls look up to her, thinking that she was pretty. Getting on video and showing her face sans makeup was a liberation and a breakthrough that catapulted her to Youtube success.

Her tagline, "Helping others live beautifully inside and out," is true to the content she puts out by featuring science-based skincare, cruelty-free makeup, and healthy living content.

Authenticity is not something commonplace in digital marketing. Being able to succeed in the online space as a model with acne has taught her that sharing her struggles & successes while following her dream helps others achieve theirs!

Stay tuned for the full story!

Here are the key areas we covered in this episode:

☑️ Hear the inside scoop on Cassandra's regrets and secrets of what she could have done differently before hitting 1 million-plus subs on Youtube and two million on social media. Best tips you need to hear to grow your channel!

☑️ Do you have doubts with Imposter Syndrome as you establish your authority online? Know practical steps and the mindset you need to be successful and learn how to handle naysayers and keyboard warriors.

☑️ The analytics is as important as it can be overwhelming. If you're not a numbers person, if you're creative, that is OK. Find someone who can do the job for you and delegate. Work to your strengths and go get your channel up and running! Listen to how Cassandra learned this valuable lesson years later.

☑️ When do you decide to stop doing everything yourself and start getting help? If you're starting, if you have less than ten followers across all social media, you're going to have to do it yourself to start. But the second you get one hundred followers, you need to start thinking, what am I not doing well enough? Where can I delegate? Once you hit that first thousand followers, start pushing them onto other platforms and start delegating out.

☑️ Monetization strategies so you can attract your people to you and earn money while you sleep.

YouTube is a marathon, not a sprint. Pick yourself up and start running!

How to Build a Community Online with TikTok Influencer, Maayan Gordon

On the Video Marketing for Business podcast, I teach the essence of video marketing and the opportunity it presents to connect with your audience more effectively and globally. In this week's episode, we are joined by Maayan Gordon who found huge success on TikTok and Linkedin.

Maayan Gordon has been in digital marketing for 10+ years now. She dropped out of college to do copywriting full time and started her first business 2K Diffuser Beads, sold a smoking accessory both B2C and B2B with great success through social media marketing. After that, Maayan successfully ran a graphic design and sticker printing business before starting a glassblowing business which she's now been running for the past 5 years.

Growing her TikTok following to more than 2 million followers and LinkedIn to more than 30,000 in less than a year. In her newest venture, she teamed with Jesse Johnson to form Champion Empire. The goal is to EMPOWER and EQUIP people from all over the globe to be leaders in the business community.

Business is about building community, it's about serving people. Communities serve people best, which means that even if you can serve someone by yourself, a community can offer more support and resources generally.

It’s amazing how sharing your passion to the community creates such a positive impact. As for Gordon, glassblowing is a great platform to showcase her love for art, which eventually got discovered through TikTok.

Stay tuned for the full story!

Here are the key areas we covered in this episode:

️ How Gordon’s TikTok journey started. Instead of just building a brand around her business, she ended up building brands around herself, which was never the intention. Make sure you don’t miss the exciting backstory.

️ How Gordon got invited to join TikTok Learning Fund and TikTok Learning Creative Program. (She also talks about TikTok verification criteria and why some users with million followers aren’t yet verified!)

️ Tamara’s experience on YouTube, where she experienced an explosive growth that led her to direct more documentary films, won many awards, and film festivals were sold-out all-over Seattle and California!

️ LinkedIn is Gordon's analysis platform. It's the place where she likes to establish authority by sharing her insights, opinions, and analysis like a science lab. How is the content strategy different for TikTok?

️ Hear Gordon’s story about whole glassblowing trade shows, organizing more intimate and exclusive parties, building good memories around unique experiences, and how social media changed her life. It’s a roller coaster ride!

️ Top reasons why TikTok isn’t working for you and practical steps you can take to be successful in this digital platform. People get confused because they think social media is a numbers game when it's a people game.

️ Almost every business is starting to realize that they need to make content even if, traditionally, their industry doesn't market that way. See how Gordon’s perspective changed when it comes to “relationships.

️ Top LinkedIn strategies so you can attract people to connect with you, such as posting a valuable comment on someone else's post and many more tips you haven’t heard elsewhere. It’s time to level up your LinkedIn content!

Here's the truth about growing your online followers: Things are changing, and people don't want to watch robotic people on television anymore. They want somebody that they're going to go to Instagram, TikTok, or Facebook and see what they're doing in real-life as human beings.

The criticism is real, but the confidence to be who you truly are wins every single time. This world will try to make you be somebody that you may not be, especially with social media, with all the trends, with what you're seeing other influencers doing. Have the courage to be yourself and make content that feeds your soul! Ready to get inspired by her story?

Here are the key areas we covered in this episode:

️ Amanda Jaeger's TikTok journey: How she went from 60,000 on Facebook to 81,000, then, 9,000 to nearly 33,000 on Instagram. Going viral, hitting million views, and multiple companies reaching out for brand deals!

️ Ready to take your TikTok strategy up a notch? Discover how the TikTok algorithm works based on a combination of factors.

️ Why picking random hashtags doesn't work. The worst thing you can do is assume that random hashtags that don't relate to your videos will be super successful, and you end up wasting space on the caption area.

️ Amanda Jaeger's TOP 3 secrets to growing your TikTok and why it has a totally different vibe than other social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

️ Why it's essential to interact with people that are commenting on your TikTok videos and highly recommended video length that works every time.

️ The power of consistency, authenticity, and passion. Be someone who truly wants to build genuine connection with your audience.

We tend to be naïve and think that reality TV shows are similar to what we see in real life. We may have already watched tons of real-life stories on television, but the point is, some people don't see the behind-the-scenes of every business out there. There's a lot of lessons and pain behind those doors. To give hope to all aspiring and existing entrepreneurs worldwide, this is a MUST-HAVE episode that will inspire you to believe in yourself.

Here are the key areas we covered in this episode:

    • The biggest misconception about being on a popular TV show like Shark Tank, aside from the fact that it’s not a shopping network show. If you’re an aspiring entrepreneur, her story can be your source of inspiration to finally launch your dream business.
    • How gratitude attracts abundance according to Shelly Ehler’s experience and how speaking & coaching opportunities came (and eventually became her new passion!)
