Smooth Transitions & Supporting Clients When a Provider Leaves

Smooth Transitions & Supporting Clients When a Provider Leaves
Are you prepared for the transition when a provider leaves your team? With this episode we’re unpacking some things to consider when a provider leaves your team. Listen in and hopefully these strategies will help make your “farewells” a bit easier. I recommend an off-boarding list in place for when someone leaves, such as getting an official letter of resignation, scheduling an exit interview, making sure all patient notes are completed, returning office equipment, and removing access to systems. It is important to notify current patients early and often, providing them with a letter explaining the transition and three options of referral. It is also important to thank the provider publicly in an email and social media post, and end on a positive note with the employee who is leaving. If additional support is needed, or if you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Help is available! "You will be remembered as the person who was understanding and kind. And that kindness and positivity will come back to you in the future." In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How to make a smooth transition when a team member leaves your practice 2. How to notify patients and provide referrals when a team member resigns 3. How to end on a positive note with a departing employee And more!
