Ted's back. I don't really think we need to say much more than that.

We blew it! This is the episode we should have released last week, but we were just TOO excited about Ted returning. But before that can happen, Kyle needs to remind us why you can't just cut Ted in half. We really identify with Mr. Ernst in this one as he deals with a midlife existential crisis. Thankfully, the girls know just how to cheer him up.

Brad is feeling like a real dud. She's all set to lead the Young Buckaroos on an overnight, but it turns out, she needs someone more FUN to go with her--Kyle. What happens when these rascally little buckaroos get loose in the desert at night? And what does ChatGPT have to say about it all? Happy belated 100s Day, everyone!

What is more exciting to an audience of 7-10 year olds than a plot about an insurance actuary? This one comes to us from Mr. Yost himself, so it's actually quite thrilling. Everyone on the ranch needs to get certified to life guard. One problem...Brad can't swim (or she can, kinda?). This is a fun one...you know, as stories about insurance premiums tend to be!

Why is Danny about to be the ranch's newest little champion? Well, turns out he is an incredibly talented cartoonist, even though somehow no one on the ranch knew about it. But things go south once his friends find out he's using their likenesses for his DUD RANCH comic strip. How can they teach him a lesson? Also, take a trip to Etymology Corral and hear about our favorite comic strips.

What happens when the sheriff has to have hemorrhoid surgery? Well, he gives his gun to Mr. Ernst, of course! Check out the episode that taught most of us about entrapment. Also, hear from the boys over at Whiskeylodeon! They joined us to talk about this wild episode, and it was great fun.

What a sweet episode! Brad befriends a boy at T.R.O.T. ( a real place! Look it up!) and is then inspired by her dear friend Melody to do something really selfless. Gosh we love Brad. And the rest of the gang pretends they're reindeer. I'm pretty sure we figured out where Joe Torres is too. Hint: he really likes cookies.

You know what? Enough is enough. We're back from hiatus with a VERY special episode. Not only did we have to watch this one on DVD for some unbeknownst reason, but we also watched it TOGETHER....IN TUCSON! That's right, we visited the scene of the crime, the ol' Bar None Ranch (at the beautiful Tanque Verde Ranch). We got some hard-hitting interviews with horses and all around just had a blast. Then we went to THE Ramada Inn before T's flight the next morning and had the creepiest stay ever. But we did get a chance to record this episode from our hotel room which clearly hasn't been updated since the teens moved out in 1989. THIS TRIP WAS SO AMAZING and we're so excited to share it with you. Welcome back to Yay Dude for season 4!!

Sometimes I imagine what it would be like to have a conversation with six-year-old me and wonder what she'd think about how her life turned out. One thing is for certain. She would NOT believe that she would grow up to one day talk to Lisa Melamed (writer of some of our favorite Hey Dude episodes) and Kelly Brown (who played THE Brad Taylor). This conversation was a dream come true, and these two women are literally two of the nicest people ever. We hope you enjoy this extra, EXTRA special episode and are ready to head into season 4 with us in a couple of weeks!

We need another boy at the ranch, and he better be cute and also a bit of a jerk and also have the hots for Brad! This is the season 3 finale, and we finally get to meet Kyle! We also meet Lucy's old flame, Bill (a different, different Bill). Plus, Jess and T make a very exciting purchase.

A child is left alone at the ranch by her terrible parents and only Buddy is able to see her for what she is--a literal psychopath. Prost, Graham Yost, this one is a nonstop thrill ride. Also find out what AI thinks should be the chapter titles to Jake's Guide to Life!

This is quite the VSE (very special episode). Melody's brother Billy comes to visit the Bar None, and it quickly becomes evident that he is struggling with alcohol. It gets pretty heavy, to be honest. Make sure to listen to this one with a trusted adult! And we make a very special visit to Corrections Trough. Also, I don't think we really cuss in this one, if you can believe it!

Mr. Ernst got himself in a real pickle this time, and it turns out the only way out of it is to wrestle Captain Lou Albano (a real guy, I guess?). This one is a real slapstick adventure, so Jess rightfully takes us to the Etymology Corral. We also discuss what we think we did to get ourselves put in social media jail...and we could be onto something.

The NICEST friend, Melody, gets pushed to the brink by Danny and Brad. And then some old phone company ladies are kind of mean to her about it (based on Jess's etymology research). Thankfully Jake comes to her aid with some cognitive behavioral therapy to help her start saying "no" more often. Also, what's Montel Williams up to?

Buddy tries to trick his mom (star of Hey Dude) and dad into getting back together with a fancy dinner hosted by the teens. But not if Melody and her crossed arms have anything to say about it! Also, why are they called "eye teeth," and is this a very special episode?

Some jerks down the road are damming up the creek, and now Mr. Ernst and a team full of children have to play baseball about it. Mr. Ernst confronts the truth about his greatest shame in order to save the ranch from becoming a mud bog. Find out the benefits of athletic jeans and what Jess did with her old trophies.

We're off this week to recover from our trip to Portland where we got to hang out IRL!! And this seemed like the perfect time to replay our very first episode, which we recorded together in a hotel room in Portland almost exactly one year ago today. I'm so glad Jess decided to go from her originally planned spot as a one-episode guest host to a full-fledged co-host, and that it has stayed that way ever since, because same as life, I couldn't imagine it without her.

Jake's not just a little stitous. He's SUPERstitious. The whole ranch is in a tizzy when Brain Busters comes to town, but can trivia master Jake withstand the pressure of all these broken mirrors and spilled salt shakers? Prost, Graham Yost, on another banger episode. Also, for once T gets to teach Jess something interesting!

Melody's friend from home, Amy, shows up at the ranch and is luckily issued a Bar None polo just in time to help out while Brad does triple axles with her horse. But it turns out, old friends aren't the same as ranch friends, and Melody feels like the two have grown apart.
