Season 4 Ep 1: They're Back (On Location!)

You know what? Enough is enough. We're back from hiatus with a VERY special episode. Not only did we have to watch this one on DVD for some unbeknownst reason, but we also watched it TOGETHER....IN TUCSON! That's right, we visited the scene of the crime, the ol' Bar None Ranch (at the beautiful Tanque Verde Ranch). We got some hard-hitting interviews with horses and all around just had a blast. Then we went to THE Ramada Inn before T's flight the next morning and had the creepiest stay ever. But we did get a chance to record this episode from our hotel room which clearly hasn't been updated since the teens moved out in 1989. THIS TRIP WAS SO AMAZING and we're so excited to share it with you. Welcome back to Yay Dude for season 4!!

Season 2 Ep 11: Bar None Babysitter

Season 2 Ep 11: Bar None Babysitter

What happens when a hot babe dumps her little sister off on Ted to babysit? Well wouldn't ya know it, she goes missing. At least the rest of the ranch is having fun writing postcards and answering questions from threatening boys. Jess takes us to Etymology Corral and we also help Ted name his old lizard.

    Moscow, Inc.

    Moscow, Inc.

Capitalism made the Moscow Mule - birthed it, shaped it and groomed it into the superstar it is today. But it also left behind a mystery that took 75 years to solve.

What is the Moscow Mule without the copper mug? That’s a question many people over the years have wrestled with. It’s almost as tricky as the mystery of where the mug came from in the first place. Answering that question involved tracking down a failed vodka salesman, a down on his luck ginger beer brewer and a mysterious Russian immigrant from one hundred years in the past. Special guests this week are Moscow Copper Co. Founder JJ Resnick and “Planet Money” co-host Robert Smith.

    A Good Fight

    A Good Fight

A countdown to WWI and a bright, bubbly festive drink named after a killing machine.

As the great old powers of Europe marched toward war the conflict seemed inevitable. But was it? Was there a way these men could have resolved their differences? Joining us on this journey is the French 75, a bright bubbly little drink named after a fearsome peace of WWI artillery. What can this drink teach us about fighting out our issues, and have we really learned our lesson from the past? Special guests this week are Zahra Bates of Courvoisier Cognac, Keli Rivers of Sipsmith Gin and Angry Staff Officer of the War Stories podcast.

Episode 278: Atomic Hospitality with Steva Casey

Steva Casey is a bartender at The Atomic Lounge in Birmingham, AL. She also works on numerous projects including International Cocktail Karaoke and Tiki By The Sea. Her cocktail recipes and ideas about building drinks have been published in Cosmopolitan, Men’s Journal, and on CNN . When asked to explain her job, she quickly responds that it's mainly about being a good host. She owns more bottles of Scotch than dresses.

Also sitting in this week is Greg Benson, co-host of the podcast Bar None, which focuses on one drink per episode as a lens through which to examine a particular era of history.
