The Moon Problem | We Won't Finish This Podcast #4

The Moon Problem | We Won't Finish This Podcast #4

The invention of the telescope is a pivotal moment for this story. Aside from the Double Decker taco, it may be the most important milestone in human history. What if there were traces of an intelligent civilization on the Moon? What would that mean to humans throughout moments in history as technology advances? What could humans even do with the information with limitations of technology? If there were remnants of a lost civilization, what happened to them? All of these questions are explored in this episode and what the consequences might be for seeking answers.

Natalie in Nunsense at the Gulf Coast Symphony

Nunsense begins when the Little Sisters of Hoboken discover that their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God, has accidentally poisoned 52 of the sisters, and they are in dire need of funds for the burials. The sisters decide that the best way to raise the money is to put on a variety show. Here we meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head. From tap and ballet dancing to audience quizzes and comic surprises, this show has become an international phenomenon!!! (Nunsense.com)

In addition to its regular performances, the Gulf Coast Symphony also offers educational programs and workshops for adults and children alike. These programs are designed to provide a deeper understanding of classical music and its history. The symphony also offers classes for aspiring musicians, as well as a summer music camp.

The Underside | We Won't Finish This Podcast #2

What if you could quit your job with Big Globe and buy a boat? Would you take it to the open seas and try to find the edge of the world? Maybe you could connect all the dots the news is showing you if you weren’t so mung about your career. You are a Flat Earther before modern internet and cell phones and you are ready to make your hero’s journey, you just have to get inspiration from a co-worker with a serious medical condition first. When you hit the high seas in your new house boat, what kind of hijinks will you get into? Will you encounter pirates? Cannibals? A giant patch of garbage inhabited by zealous rednecks? What might be waiting for you at the edge if you did find it? This is a secret fiercely guarded by the largest conspiracy known to humanity since the dawn of time, and the powers that be might not want it to become public.

    Cocktails at Christmas...AGAIN!

    Cocktails at Christmas...AGAIN!
The Ghost of Christmas Past visited us this time around! Take a trip down memory lane as we chit-chat with the staff about some of our favorite memories in the restaurant. We also wanted to share this episode as a tribute to the man who started it all, our boss and inspiration, Joe Allen, who passed away this past February. Yes, it's last year's episode, but it's been a year since we've heard it and it's just as fun now as it was then. Happy Holidays!
