Maria Lucente has kept her distance in terms of outing herself as being the real inspiration behind the tune, but after a TikTok trend seeing its members using the pop punk anthem goes viral, she has decided now's the time to come forward. Here's her story.

I've been using the Alternative Songs airplay chart for a little over 10 years, but next year we're going to give the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart a shot. It will reflect the airplay as well as the streaming and purchasing of songs. So it'll be more in the hands of the people!
