On the Friday August 30 edition of BangTheBook Radio, host Adam Burke was joined by Brent, the head risk manager at DSI Sportsbook, for this week’s version of The Odds Report. Adam and Brent talked about college football sharp money line moves, the Andrew Luck fallout, and when the Week 1 NFL markets will start to move.

The guys had a lot of things to discuss, ranging from why the market moves all at the same time to why line moves vary in size to understanding why a line stops moving in a certain direction. Brent also looked at it from a betting standpoint on how to recognize when the line you want may not be coming. The guys also looked at Andrew Luck’s retirement and what it means for the Colts, the AFC contenders, and the rest of the AFC South. Finally, they looked ahead to NFL Week 1 to see when these lines will start to be on the move.

On the Wednesday August 28 edition of BangTheBook Radio, host Adam Burke was joined by VSIN host Wes Reynolds for a Wednesday Wagering segment to look at the NFL and college football. The guys talked about the Andrew Luck retirement, Week 4 of the Preseason, and derivative betting for Week 1 in college football.

Wes’s hometown team is the Indianapolis Colts, so he had a lot of thoughts on what still remains for the Colts in a post-Andrew Luck world. The guys also took a look at Week 4 of the preseason to attempt to find any betting value on the card. Finally, Week 1 should present some good opportunities in the derivative markets for college football, so that was a good way to finish out the show.

AFC South: Luck of the Draw

AFC South: Luck of the Draw
Andrew Luck decides to hang it up -- here's the mental state of the AFC South. How many wins will it take to be crown champion? With no O Line can the Texans hold on with their tough schedule; Can Jacoby Brissett do just enough to keep Colts relevant? With the worse QB in the league can Titans continue to win DESPITE of bad QB from Mariota. Hopefully the coaching staff will finally listen to the Prophets and play Ryan Tannehill. Can the Jags go from first to worst back to first? As the conversation continues, both Kev and Rashad lean that way now that Andrew has retired...... and that is just the Luck of the Draw.
