    The Official Geno Smith Hypecast

    The Official Geno Smith Hypecast
The day we've dreaded for years is upon us...Russell Wilson NOT under center, as the Seahawks travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Stealers on Sunday Night Football. Can Geno weather the storm til #3 gets back? Or will the (Steel) Curtain come closer to closing on the Seahawks season?

I'm sure we've all heard the old saying, "when one door closes for one Tre in life, another door opens for another Tre." Well, that couldn't be any more true than this week as Tre Flowers is released, while Tre Brown is set to return to action. Will the new Tre be better than the old Tre?

And of course, this wouldn't be a Seahawks podcast if Jeff & Dave didn't wonder aloud whether the Seahawks coaching staff can pull a win out of their asses when they need it most.

So fix yourself a glass of your finest Single Malt, light up your favorite stogie (believe me, you're gonna need it, cause this one's a slow burn) and find out what Dave said to Bill Cowher's chin at an NYC bar, on the newest episode of For the Birds!

    An Injection of Drama

    An Injection of Drama

This edition of the Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show is all about individuals causing asinine drama. Mike “the Buzz-saw” Asti and George “the Howitzer” Gerbo discuss if it’s even possible for the 76ers and Ben Simmons to come to a conclusion that works for both sides. Who’s more to blame for this situation? Will Simmons ever show up to Philadelphia without a trade? Is there even a trade out there that can satisfy the 76ers?

From one NBA star refusing to show up to one who isn’t even allowed to come leave his house right now. How should the Nets handle Kyrie Irving if he continues to refuse to get vaccinated? Mike and George attempt the impossible - trying to get into Kyrie’s head and figure out where this unmanageable situation goes from here.

The show closes with George asking Mike his insight on Ben Roethlisberger’s future and if there’s any validity to Aaron Rodgers flirtation with the Steelers. The HBS conquers sports radio, one day, at a time….

Celebrating 10 Years of the HBS: Drama Can Lead to Success

Celebrating 10 Years of the HBS: Drama Can Lead to Success

It’s been a decade of excellence on the Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show, and that meant George “the Howitzer” Gerbo and Mike “the Buzz-saw” Asti opening up the first show of 2011 with a retrospective of the last 10 years of their podcast.

Once the trip down memory lane was over, it was time to break down a major trade in the NBA. What message does James Harden finally getting his wish send to other NBA super-stars who are unhappy with their current team? Who’s mostly to blame for his time in Houston not resulting in a trip to the NBA Finals? Is it now championship or bust for the Nets? Can Harden fit in with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the court or is this a big 3 that’s headed for drama and chaos? The Howitzer and Buzz-saw debate which future Hall of Famer needs to take a backseat and be the third option. Mike even explains to George how the media may play role and how this team develops.

The NBA may have stole a headline from the NFL for a day, but the NFL is never quiet news wise, especially as teams not still playing for a trip to the Super Bowl are dealing with the aftermath of their season. Can Deshaun Watson follow Harden and get himself out of Houston? Why is it tougher for an NFL player to control his destiny? And if Watson is traded, where will he end up? Mike also details the busy offseason for the Pittsburgh Steelers, one that seems to currently have more questions than answers, as well as, what the future may look like for one of the NFL’s marquee franchises.

The Howitzer and Buzz-saw Show has been conquering the podcast world of sports radio, one day, at a time....
