    Dave Schools (Widespread Panic)

    Dave Schools (Widespread Panic)

Welcome to Roadcase!!  Dave Schools is the critically acclaimed bass player and founding member of Widespread Panic, and is also accomplished producer.  His latest producing effort is a heartfelt album, "Highway Butterfly: The Songs of Neal Casal," which features over three dozen major artists contributing songs to honor the late member of Circles Around the Sun, who sadly took his own life in 2019. Dave has also played in a number of different bands including Stockholm Syndrome, Gov't Mule, J Mascis & The Fog, and Hard Working Americans, which Dave also produced.  Dave has also most recently worked with Andy Frasco, producing Andy's latest album.  Personally, Dave is a beacon of light, love and compassion, and his deep love of music and humankind comes across in everything he does. While he has struggled with addiction in the past, he is now a staunch advocate of mental health and strives to help others live better lives. Widespread Panic also support those in need with their own non-profit organization, Tunes for Tots, which helps bring musical instruments and gear to economically-challenged schools, among other worthy endeavors. Dave is truly a one-of-a-kind human whom we're elated to have on our show!!  So come on aboard the Roadcase bus for this very special episode with the one and only Dave Schools.  It's gonna be a great ride!!

    Maggie Rose (Nashville-based Singer Songwriter)

Welcome to Roadcase, a podcast exploring the live music experience!!  Join us for this exciting episode with the uber-talented Maggie Rose, who found her way to Nashville via a short stint at Clemson University after beginning her career in a Springsteen cover band as a teenager.  Maggie has a new album, "Have a Seat," coming out on August 20, and has spent time touring extensively with her friends and bandmates, Them Vibes; she's also played the Grand Ole Opry over 80 times and has collaborated -- both live and in the studio -- with an amazingly diverse list of super-talented artists. But as familiar as Maggie is with the world of performance, the road to her current level of success was neither smooth, nor a direct and easy line. Josh explores Maggie's mindset and we learn why being authentic and true to one's artistic self is really the most important factor for her to feel at one with the music she helps create.   So hop on board for an intriguing and informative look into the world of Maggie Rose. It's a great ride!!
