Modern Slavery: Matilda Ashurst Anti-Slavery Fellow Grant

Between 12-23 June 1840 the world’s first Anti-Slavery Convention was held in London and Ashurst founder, William Henry Ashurst, accompanied two of his four daughters, Elizabeth and Matilda to the Convention where they championed the fight to abolish slavery and speak for the equality for women.
