Meet Elizabeth Rowell-Gross

Elizabeth is employed in the healthcare industry, and has completed CNA/CHHA Health Care Training with the American Red Cross. She also holds a certificate of completion for the Human Service Employment Ladder. She has extensive experience working with young children, and particularly, those with learning differences.

Elizabeth's story is featured in the Blessed Not Broken (vol. 2): The Journey to Healing book collaboration project.

Meet La'Shunda Williams

La'Shunda is the Founder and CEO of Young-Educated-Determined to Succeed, Inc. (Y.E.D.S.), an organization that supports the educational and creative development of youth in the Greater Hartford Community. She has worked with youth for over 20 years. 

La’Shunda holds a BS in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College, and an MS in Organizational Leadership from Goodwin University. She also serves on the Youth Advisory Board and Local Prevention Council for the Town of East Hartford. 

She is a recipient of the Goodwin University Community Service, and the Let’s Talk Ministries Community Service Award. She is also a 100 Women of Color honoree.
