    #36 - Alan Bailey

    #36 - Alan Bailey

Solid episode, we had Alan Bailey stop into the studio! He's one of the minds behind the "If This Goes On, Don't Panic" podcast. They interview science-fiction, fantasy, and (sometimes) horror writers and editors, but they talk a lot about hope, resistance to societal norms, follow-through, and how to push back to those norms.

We talk about burnout, personal interest creativity, and pushing back as a community. We also touch on the "Sub-Hope" genre, as well as the transition from teaching to providing umbrella education, Also being in a band and juggling that with burn-out. It's a solid episode.

    43. Cherie Amour

    43. Cherie Amour

We're BAAACK! Bailey and Tyler sit down with Cherie Amour's Trey Miller, Ronnie Sherman and Brendan Willis. The band discusses everything from being compared to Machine Gun Kelly, Internet trolls, new upcoming music, the very beginnings of Cherie Amour and creating a brand new genre called nu-punk. And just when we thought the interview was over, we hang out and discuss a little more.

This band is on to something and we're really excited to see where they go. After Cherie Amour worked with Alan Day (Four Year Strong) to produce their upcoming EP, they caught the attention of Equal Vision Records which led to the announcement of their signing back in June 2021. Their debut single "Burn" is a great mix of metal, pop, punk, R&B and rock – genres you wouldn't normally even think to  combine, but this band pulls it off perfectly. Get ready. Because more music is on the way.

Hear "Burn" for yourself here: https://youtu.be/vrD_c4f9g8E.
