    Sharon Todd's special guest is Barry Kirby the current President of the  CIEHF.  He is  a Chartered Ergonomist and Human Factors Practitioner (C.ErgHF), Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Fellow of the Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (FIEHF) and a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).

    Barry has over 17 years’ experience working as a Human Factors Consultant, with skills in user engagement, product design and specification, simulation, trials as well as business and strategy development. As the Managing Director of K Sharp, Barry leads a small but perfectly formed team of researchers and consultants with a wide range of skills and knowledge.

    He has a keen interest in the attitudes, trust and behaviour of users when faced with new technology such as Smart Cities, Smart Communities and the Internet of Things.

    He is back in the chair - The Kirbinator, is in the Studio!! We have missed him! Mandy slips in very quietly and is on marginally late but gets away with it. Andy bangs on about his Sky Fibre Pro Broadband issues and the fact that he was on BBC Radio Glos this week talking about it - yawn! Paully Boy tries to Skype but due to horrendously poor planning he selfishly ruins the show - just to spit Barry (only kidding, he dials in via the good old trusted landline in the end and we miss him!! ? ). Barry brings a bit of depth to the show again and of course politics! New items: Cheltenham Banksy 'Spy Booth' artwork defaced, Top DJs say Ibiza is too expensive for young people, Wearable users tracked with Raspberry Pi and Russia enacts 'draconian' law for bloggers and online media.

    We opened up, with a few technical problems. Shaun was in Ypres in Belgium and he had a few technical "issues". We got there in the end though and Shaun gave us an overview of why he was there and the significance of Gloucester in World War 1. Paul talked about his first show and of course Barry and Andy, ridiculed him - but really it was good! Barry gave us the usual updates around his political activities this week and his mate the Barry.     Andy was meant to be away today but due to factors "beyond his control", he couldn't go. He is also VERY poorly - man flu, again! Barry talks about Human Factors and a UI course he has recently been on. Peter Street gets a ribbing again for his new Facebook profile picture and Paul operates the desk for the last 10 minutes and does well - as Andy is poorly sick! Paul talks about the TKOE Charity and his single "You're Amazing" is going to be released on Amazon and iTunes! News: Cornish people granted minority status within UK, The baffling map of England's counties, Microsoft and Nokia complete mobile phone unit deal, Elvers released into River Severn in Shropshire and How to mint your own virtual money.

    Andy becomes a little obsessed with the BBC News 24 88 seconds countdown Music Bed - that's not like Andy to become obsessed with anything or anyone!! Also the show is completely Shakira-less so Andy needs counselling! Barry tells us about his call for local politician to resign and goes on about Claire Carter quite a lot. Paul is just "well Paul" really and gets very excited about doing the show next week without Andy! Music from Fire Tiger, Human League, Suzzane Vega, Olive and more. We also talk about Vandals attack Cheltenham 'Banksy' artwork (the irony), BBC and Sky catch-up apps experience iOS fault, Teen's Facebook brag costs dad $80,000 lawsuit settlement, the challenges of making a digital piano sound real and the River Thames is 'fast flowing', Environment Agency warns.

    To start with Paul was very nasty to fellow (and much better) presenter, Peter Street - he even called in to defend himself. Didn't work though, Paul was vicious in his attack. Barry often sees Pete "up the pie isle" in Asda, but tried to avoid him. Andy still has the remnants of Man Flu so should technically be in hospital! Andy resists the urge and only plays one Shakira track and the back to back today is by Imagination from the 80's. News: Does a baby's name affect its chances in life, Kylie Minogue quits The Voice, Sue Townsend, author of Adrian Mole books, dies aged 68, google Glass to go on sale for one day and the Heartbleed bug.

    So Paul is back and Andy and Barry explain to him how much they missed him (which didn't take very long!). Andy has man-flue, which as we know is the worst type of illness known to mankind! Andy is still obsessed with Shakira! Paul also becomes very jealous of Andy's "new " friend, Raluca, who he thinks is muscling in on their friendship! Music from the Eels, Pharrell Williams oh and yes of S H A K I R A!!! News: Geep is born in Ireland - What's a Geep I hear you ask? Well don't ask - listen!     Andy, Barry and Caro are back together on the Severn Bore Breakfast Show. Andy really needs to get help with his "Shakira Addiction" and we play two songs from her latest album titled 'Shakira'. News items: Harry Chapman Pincher: Ex-Daily Express journalist turns 100, Radio Caroline 50 years on, Pet cats infect two people with TB, Smartphone overuse may 'damage' eyes and Facebook drones to offer low-cost net access.     Dr Baz is back (he isn't a real doctor!!). Andy bores everyone with his latest obsession - which is SHAKIRA along with his attempt to learn Spanish! The 2nd hour starts with a 1995 Spanish Shakira song, Vuelve followed by her latest 2014 hit with Rihanna - can't remember to forget you! Paul explains his predicament whilst he sat next to a bloke for two hours on a plane and was too afraid to wake him when he needed the loo! We heard from Netiflx CEO who is not happy with being targeted by frustrated ISPs. We also hear about how lovely Hake (the fish) is!! News items: Tesco uses pictures of beef cattle in milk advert, Netflix boss Reed Hastings hits out at ISP traffic fees, MtGox finds 200,000 missing bitcoins in old wallet, Chromecast - a TV game changer and Why did Kate Bush never tour after 1979?

    I think Paul Ryan Alcock regretted saying "If you want to hear how a professional does it (and not the approximation that is the Severn Bore Breakfast Show!), then tune in to Peter Street. On air at 8pm with his brand new show!" - Not the Peter bit, the approximation bit! We did let him have it today though - count how many times we said the word approximate! Andy bangs on about Salem's Lot and play's a bit of Fire Tiger - Count Dracula of course! Peter is going on a diet (again) and Paul tells us about his night run and has 'a go on the desk' (forced by Andy!). Baz talks about The Tough Mudder Challenge and suggests we enter a Severn FM Team! (crazy bloke). Stories about pay, housing and benefits feature in Saturday's newspapers on the show today, with an admission by DJ Chris Moyles that he joined a tax avoidance scheme appearing on several front pages. Gloucestershire light aircraft crash leaves pilot unhurt andy Dogs' brain scans reveal vocal responses.

    Andy has NOT had a good week this week! Mandy tells us what a Sub Editor's role consists of - drinking teas, watching telly etc etc. Barry is moving offices and has a new desing for K# in his rebranding activites.     The crew are back in the new studio whilst Andy 'tests it out!' All went well apart from a slight hum - which Andy will of course need to sort out and Barry's mic lead falling out causing a loud 'crack' on air! It's good to be back! News: Zara Tindall and a rather different royal birth, Hastings beach nude stunt aimed at Spencer Tunick, Flood warnings issued as heavy rain expected and Gloucester Rugby are in talks with Cardiff flanker Thomas Young.
