70+ ideas for questions to ask at the end

In most cases the last part of your interview will be a chance for YOU to ask the questions. It’s a chance to reveal your curiosity about the company and the role.

In this week’s episode Sarah and Emma are picking out some of their favourite questions that go beyond the basics of our last episode. We'll discuss the art of being genuinely interested, turning the tables by 'interviewing' the interviewer, and why you shouldn’t be looking to ‘stand out’ with your questions.

Plus, don't miss out on our free download – a spreadsheet packed with question ideas to have at your fingertips!

🏀 Shoot Your Shot - Shoutout to Bec “Thank you ladies so much!!!! I just walked out of my interview and feel amazing. I had a session with Sarah on Wednesday and we were certain they weren't going to ask me a "tell me about yourself" question being a government job, but I'd prepared it anyway AND THEY ASKED!!! I had to come up with one answer that didn't fit the best bits I'd prepared, but I was able to stick to the structure of story, what I did, what was the result and weave in a different story. Just want to say too that I thought this was my "dream job" but after listening to your "take your dream job off the pedestal" episode, my preparation changed completely and I've left the interview room feeling like I did the best I could do, if I dont get this I'll use it all for the next opportunity. Thats why I'm sending this now and not after I've heard if I got the job, because the result doesn't even feel like it matters now.”

You're trying to answer the unanswerable - what questions will I be asked in my next job interview? Step away from the google search, and close the ‘common interview questions’ blog post.

In this episode, Sarah and Emma talk through how you can use the job description to help you predict what a company is looking for. Based on the ad you'll be able to narrow down the types of questions they will be asking, whilst still being prepared for anything!

🏀 Shoot Your Shot - Shoutout to Chantelle who booked a coaching session with Sarah. She said, “Sarah provided me with extremely actionable and tangible advice that gave me the confidence to walk into my next interview and ace it. The advice was also relevant across a number of roles I was applying for which was extremely beneficial - it felt like learning a new ‘formula’ that could be applied to any role now or in the future. A great investment and use of time and would 110% recommend Sarah’s services when you want to stand out from a crowd and make an impact in your interviews.”  Chantelle updated us  before the break with one job offer locked in, and another on the way!! Congratulations!
