Many of us desire wealth. People have died over money. There are many of us that donât understand that God himself is true wealth & riches. There are people that donât see and understand from Godâs point of view.
Jesus said in Matt. 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20Â But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21Â For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
You have to believe that. I think about what Jesus said about the sower that Soweth the word.
In Mark 4:15 And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts. Verse 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Jesus told a parable about how one man was rich & the other one was poor. Lazarus was the one that was poor. The poor man went to heaven. The rich man went to hell.
St. Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.
Weâve got to remember the poor when we are rich. 1 Timothy 6:17-19 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; ..
All things.We donât give ourselves anything. Riches and wealth belongs to God.
Proverbs 8:18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
We must depend on God and serve him. God owns everything.
According to Deuteronomy 8:18 We must remember the Lord because it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth â¦
