Maybe it's just me but I'm not seeing any motorcycle commercials on television anymore.

I'm talking local TV channels. They mostly just seem to advertise their own local TV channel or what TV shows they're going to be showing soon and maybe a few commercials from a local car lot.

Where have the motorcycle commercials gone? I'll tell you.

Also I can say no time in history have I seen motorcycle factories trying so hard to decide for me what type of motorcycle I should buy.

Nice try guys. Nice try.

Maybe I'm too old. Maybe I am no longer the target market.

Maybe they think my generation doesn't have any money for some reason. Maybe they think their best audience is 20 years old. I don't know, I'm still a tourist in all this.

My friends we have all met that guy. Every Club has met that guy that just can't hold it together financially. We have all met guys who literally don't have the $25 membership dues.

There are dudes out there that will be showing up to ride with you and they might or might not mention that the power has been shut off in their house.

There are going to be dudes show up that want to be a member of your Club so bad but not only do they not have a motorcycle they don't have a car and they don't have a driver's license and they don't have a job.

Different clubs handle these dudes differently. Some clubs have a set of rules that they can read to the guy explaining why he's never going to be part of the club.

Some of us will never trade in a set of rules for our humility. If someone is struggling at a level where they can't even keep their lights on my friends my advice is not going to be buy another motorcycle my friends my advice is going to be Financial savvy.

I am going to try to help that person level up financially methodically through strategies to start gaining money.

You can't eat a motorcycle. You can't sleep on a motorcycle at night. You need shelter.

My friends we are the Pioneers ushering in a new generation of transportation. Electric cars, lithium batteries and motorcycles with infotainment systems that cost more than my first motorcycle. Electric motorcycles.

Can I just sit in a lawn chair and drink a Mountain Dew and watch all this stuff Drive by?

Bro I'm the guy that don't want a radio on his motorcycle. My friends I don't even want a drink holder.

I need to explain why. I need to explain to you my dreams of freedom. I hope you are dreaming of Freedom as well.

If you have been riding for a while this is just affirmation. Or if you have been riding for a while you might discover I'm doing it different than you are.

If you are new to the game trust me my friends many people crash in them corners.

I'm just trying to throw a little bit of advice out there to prevent some of that.

When you are at work do you daydream about your motorcycle? I do. I daydream about mine though not yours.

Have you ever showed up at work and realized somebody else working in the room will never be back?

Have you ever read a Facebook meme that says if you die at work they will replace you the same day but your family will suffer for a long time?

My friends life is precious. Life is short. Set yourself up strategically to have as little to worry about as possible.

My advice. My observations. The sobering reality of it.

My friends I have seen it many times. A girl's husband or boyfriend will pick her out of motorcycle and he's basically picking out a second motorcycle for himself.

Let's get away from that shall we? Let's find a bike that is safe for you and easy to learn on. You are going to want a motorcycle that you can pick up by yourself.

My friends I should also mention you get to the side what you're going to be wearing if you lay a motorcycle down.

Every time I go on a poker run I cringe. It's like a contest where they are trying to see who can be the most unsafe. Let's talk about it shall we.

The HEAT has been a big deal this year.
Egads man. On a positive note: I'm taking Friday off.

Things and stuff and stuff and things.

MY advice to the young men out there carrying guns that enjoy the thug life.

Am I the only one that hates thieves?

So now there is a new tick tock Trend catching on that encourages people to steal a vehicle.

I have a few steps that you need to take to get ready for such a thing.

Have you ever pulled up outside of a pub and the gray beards took one look at the parking lot and said "Nope, let's keep going"?

Have you ever had a ride planned and out of nowhere the gray beards said "Not today"?

Things and stuff and stuff and things my friend. We are not all wired the same. If you are in your 30s you are not going to be wired the same when you are in your 50s or 60s.

Often them old dudes have things and stuff figured out.

If they say I'm not going but you go ahead you are probably going to be okay. They probably just feeling like s*** that day. If they say WE shouldn't go, you should probably take heed.

When I was young I was pretty hardcore about riding my motorcycle.

The older I get the more I learn to balance my life. Friends, family, parents, kids, pets, yard work, let's face it things and stuff and stuff and things have to happen.

And then there's the big one, work.

Don't take it too hard. As I've said many times every day doesn't get to be Walt Disney or a carnival cruise.

My friends I amuse easy. I can ride my motorcycle to a small town and drink a Mountain Dew and watch other people go to work and be rather amused.

On the other hand if it's pouring down rain I guess I can sit in my house and watch it rain and just marvel over the fact that I'm not out in it. I amuse so easy it makes it hard to lose.

I took a vacation day friday. It was going to be nice. Now it's going to rain. Sometimes the freedom of not being at work just has to be enough.

I love vacation days! I appreciate that I get to go out and ride my motorcycle and be paid.

I also really appreciate the fact that at the end of my ride I get to return to my home.

Not everybody gets that luxury. Never stop appreciating what you have.

Sadly 65% of the people out there are living paycheck to paycheck.

I'm seeing it on Facebook and it's sad and I wish I could help people turn this around.

My friends you just don't need all them things and stuff and crap and s*** in your life that makes you a slave.

Are you living your best life?

Are you balancing work and play and bills and yard work and family time and things and stuff and stuff and things?

It gets tough bro. It's tough for everybody to come up with that perfect balance but whatever you do in life my friends don't try to peer pressure your buddies to balance their life to be just like yours.

We are all wired different. Let them live their best lives. That's what friendship is about.

I have said it many times here at Fort Spotts, we welcome all makes models Brands and credos.

You can pull up on a $100,000 Harley or you can pull up on a $1,000 Japanese Cruiser that needs the choke half on to stay running and my friend I will welcome you just the same.

We all get sick of the grind. We all start thinking I could do this better on my own.

We all get this pipe dream of owning our own business.

The problem is this my friend who the hell's going to come work for you?

Every motorcycle rider has met that guy. The guy that shows up with no money in his pocket and bro you're about to buy him gas and food whether you know it or not.

Hell you might be putting him up for the night. Seen it seen it seen it.

Here we are decades later and them guys are still looking pretty good. They haven't torn their bodies up working have they.

I used to think all this hard work and saving back money at least reached a fruition but nowadays my friend I wonder.

So I'm watching the news. They are talking about the drought, fire and heat wave situation on the west coast.

Of course they are calling it man-made climate change.

That's funny I thought we had more solar power and wind turbines than ever.

Can't we just have a news story that doesn't blame my F-150 truck?

I guess we should all take the bus. What the hell let's explore that.

We all wired different! MANY girls out there have said, "I wish I could ride my own, but..I can't."

I hate that word. "Can't" can't do anything. You might have had the wrong teacher. You might have had NO teacher. I don't know.

My friend, if I was your neighbor I'll bet I could teach you how to ride.

I tend to land in the roll of "teacher" a lot. Is it because I'm highly skilled? No. It's because I'm patient. Although I'm sure my girlfriend will tell you otherwise.

Do you know guys that basically gauge the importance of other bikers by how many miles they are riding per week? Them guys are out there.

Do you know bikers that every three or four years always upgrade to the newest motorcycle? Them guys are out there.

As I've said many times there's no right or wrong answer when it comes to being a biker.

Yep another one. The world is beautiful. Life is precious. How are people getting so full of hate that they need to go into a mall and shoot people? Crazy right!

Meanwhile my girlfriend. my doggies and myself are just sitting back watching it rain and enjoying life to the fullest.
