My therapist, Dr. Demisse, gave me some strategies to share with my friends & kin for this Mother's Day episode. She is pretty awesome & is also a listener and fan of, "Hand Me My Purse."

Mother Loss - the actual or perceived absence of typical mother-child experiences with a maternal figure. For some, but not all, this maternal figure is a specific person.
