Filmmaking dreams are discussed and realized in this special edition of "Interludes.  EP Michael Wamble and host Valarie Johnson lay the hopeful groundwork in producing a feature film.

What does it take to be a strong, independent, boss lady? Two and a half years ago, a whole posse of kick-ass boss ladies came together to make a movie that grapples with this question. Yet, despite its solid pedigree, hilarious script, and talented cast, the film was given short shrift by critics and audiences alike. That film was Little, and this week Karen and Janet pay tribute to this highly underrated comedy gem.

This episode of Film Forward features the writer, director and star of the new film, Good, Mr. Justin Etheredge. 

Good is follows Payton, who becomes the caretaker of Gregory Devereaux, a wealthy man facing his final months. As they become close, Gregory's past sins force Payton to decide between his dreams and a pregnancy that could squander them all.

In our first episode highlighting 2020 LADFF Filmmakers, we interview Jay Snow. He is the writer/director and star of the short film Flawd. 

Flawd is a romantic comedy based on Jay’s personal experiences with Sickle Cell Anemia. In this episode, we discuss why it took for Jay this long to write about his history with the disease. We also discuss the challenges and triumphs with simultaneously directing and acting.
