Birth of A Drag Queen - Aria Rey

Birth of A Drag Queen - Aria Rey

Hunter Sabin has been performing drag for the past five years as his alter ego Aria Rey, known as the “Dom Top Barbie of Texas.” Her drag style is like a dominatrix barbie doll, mixing classic drag glamour with a fetish twist. Hunter is a trained opera singer graduating from Texas State with a degree in vocal performance. Hunter is the winner of “The Serve” season 1 (an Instagram drag competition during lockdown in 2020), Drag Me to Fame in San Antonio, and college drag competition “So You Think you can drag”.  This is definitely a queen to watch and Stan.

#48 Are You Ascending or Descending? – Yana Fry

#48 Are You Ascending or Descending? – Yana Fry

Do you know the difference? It took me many years to figure it out. I would show up in the a room full of people and they would constantly comment on my energy and say “I like what you have. How do I get there?” I didn’t know how to answer that question. For years. I understood what they were asking, but I didn’t know how to help, how to explain, how to guide… because I was just born this way. I didn’t learn anything of what I have or of what I am. I received it genetically from my parents. And it was very confusing at times. I didn’t know who I am and how do I fit in the society and whether I fit at all. I wanted to be liked and accepted by other people, so I tried to hide, to make myself smaller, to pretend I don’t see and don’t feel what I was seeing and feeling. It was a long and an exhausting journey to self-acceptance and inner freedom.

This episode explains it in more details. It explains the difference between ascending and descending and what impact it has on one’s life and especially your spiritual path. It is important that you know where you are, otherwise you might spend years or time and tons of energy and money going in the wrong direction and learning things you don’t need. At least I did. That’s why I am sharing openly my journey and realisations, so that you do not repeat my mistakes. Make your mistakes. Experiment. Try things. Fail. Succeed. It is all a part of human journey. But do it wisely. Do it consciously. Do it with full awareness.

Listen to this episode with your heart and mind open, and your soul being receptive to receive what it needs to hear today so that you can unlock the next level of your evolution.

    Chromatica, Lady Gaga

    Chromatica, Lady Gaga

Keith Montena returns to Vinyl Drop this week with a discussion on "Chromatica" by Lady Gaga. With special guest Logan Powers, the pair dive into Lady Gaga's first dance-pop release in nearly seven years, the rush of "Rain On Me" with Ariana Grande, and how the campaign attached got halted during Covid-19. Diving into every track and video, fan reactions, and how it compares to past efforts like "The Fame", the album still remains a celebration.

    The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga

    The Fame Monster, Lady Gaga

Keith Montena welcomes Logan Powers to discuss Lady Gaga's sophomore studio album, "The Fame Monster". Released with her famous debut, "The Fame", the singer's follow-up project featured eight songs that brought a more intense sound, and cemented her "Little Monster" base with darker imagery and concepts. While Bad Romance alone is hailed as one of pop's best songs, the entire collection see's the singer write and create some of her best songs to date. Hear Keith and Logan discuss their thoughts on the album. Remember to follow @vinyldropodcast on instagram to keep up with all updates.

Does God Make Us with Flaws?

Does God Make Us with Flaws?
Fr. Mike answers that God does not make us with flaws, but we are all born with the unfortunate effects of original sin. We were all made in the image and likeness of God, but if we feel like some sinful behavior has been a part of us for as long as we can remember, that part doesn’t come from God. It comes from our fallen nature. Whether or not we were “born that way”, God still wants to make us holy and wipe away even the most deep-seated blemishes. God loves us just as we are, but loves us too much to keep us that way. Admit it, acknowledge it, accept it, but don’t stop there. Allow God to transform it into something that can give him glory. “No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it” (1 Corinthians 10:.13).
