Atlanta Open Preview: Leylah Fernandez and Andres Martin

    Leylah Fernandez and Andres Martin

Described as the only ATP Tour event that features female players, US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez talks about her exhibition match vs. Coco Gauff (who played junior tennis out of Atlanta) at the upcoming Atlanta Open. The young Canadian is returning to action after a foot injury that kept her out of Wimbledon. Keeping with the tournament’s tradition of supporting college tennis, Georgia Tech’s Andres Martin talks about playing against a long list of top professionals. The Flowery Branch, Ga., player comes off reaching his first USTA Pro Circuit final. We spotlight Buford, Ga. junior Sena Yoon and the 2021 USTA Southern Mickey McNulty Family of the Year: the Burke/Mulkey family of Cary, N.C.

Back to the Future Part III (1990)

Back to the Future Part III (1990)

"Back to the Future Part III" is a master class in how to make a time-travel comedy. It's a love letter to Old Hollywood Westerns. And it's the final note in a legendary trilogy.

Guest host Kevin Brackett (Reel Spoilers podcast) joins Ash and Gene this week to discuss the countless callbacks, outstanding action, and brilliant performances that elevated what some consider the weakest of the Back to the Future series.

We get into Christopher Lloyd's puppy-dog brown eyes, the Back to the Future theme park ride, elaborate dioramas, the movie's "Gilligan's Island" tendencies, Gene's Two-DeLorean Conundrum, and a hotly debated ending that involves a small child pointing at his genitals.

Robert and I analyze popular movies from a Rothbardian/Anarcho-Capitalist perspective.

We use movies as a starting point for people who may not be familiar with this way of thinking.   Discussion of the plot and decisions that characters make in relation to morality and violations of the non-aggression principle are our bread and butter.

We also will highlight and discuss any themes or lessons from Austrian Economics that we can glean from the film.

The point is to show what anarchy actually is with instances that are presented in film.

We publish at least once per week; and occasionally will do specials surrounding holidays or events (elections/olympics) and have guests.
