Accountability is annoying. You really want to step your game up? Learn from what works and what doesn't. This is what we pursue today. Here you go...
Word! Hard to argue results, right? When you are stuck and stay stuck, you keep hitting the accelerator and spinning your wheels, the more stuck you get. What if you had some guys on the back. Some on the front, pushing and pulling. What if you had a guy show up with a truck and a tow strap? Of course, that would help. Why are you rejecting that?
For those down and out right now on our societal ills, we are so good at complaining. Too good. Anyone on social media or that reads/listen/watches the news knows that. Can you imagine a society where we held each other accountable in a loving way? Imagine small groups across this country where one calls or texts another to ask how they are doing? Really doing. Asking about their struggles whether that be marriage or unemployment or health/addiction, depression and actually not just asking but pouring in and encouraging each other. We would solve a lot of our societal ills. That's the truth Ruth and that's a fact Jack.
Ending on a song note, going soul this time. This is 'Accountability' by Lisa McClendon, if you dig, give her some love and add it to your "I Need Some More Accountability in My Life" playlist. Now go, form your small group, confess where you need to improve with those you can trust, empower them to do the same for you, follow up with each other in love and consideration, build each other up...
