    Mount Diablo's First Tourists

    Mount Diablo's First Tourists

Starting in the 1870s, people with dollar signs in their eyes started selling Mount Diablo to investors and tourists. First was Joseph Seavey Hall, who built a hotel and two toll roads. Then came Robert Noble Burgess, who planned to build a castle on top with William Randolph Hearst. Then along came World War I . . .

    The Power of the Labyrinth

    The Power of the Labyrinth
I discovered The Labyrinth when I was having trouble hearing my inner wisdom, silencing the confusion in my mind, and making healthy decisions. The way I was showing up in my life wasn’t working for me anymore, but I didn’t know what to do instead. The Labyrinth helped me release stuck emotions and outmoded ways of thinking and behaving, hear the Divine, and become more of my true self. I walked the Labyrinth often, bought a small finger Labyrinth to use at home, went on retreats, and led groups on Labyrinth walks. Each experience was unique and always profound. Businesses build teams and solve challenging problems. Families become closer and get spiritual guidance to work through difficult problems. Others receive physical healing. Mostly people use it for contemplation, spiritual wisdom, and to heal their heart, mind, and soul. Please join us Thursday to learn how the Labyrinth can heal, guide, and support us in our growth and evolution as individuals and groups.

Life Design for Women: Conscious Living as a Force for Positive Change

Life Design for Women: Conscious Living as a Force for Positive Change
We are in the process of great change. Our world has been dominated by the male way of doing and being, and women have had to fit into that model. If we wanted a career, we had to ignore our natural ways of being in the world. In fact, most of us don’t know ourselves very well because we have been busy meeting other people’s expectations and allowing them to define us. Women are inherently more cooperative, compassionate, empathetic, nurturing, creative and peace oriented. Those qualities are not valued in the workplace or outside of the home, but they are what is needed now if we are to solve our current global problems and create the world we want to live in. My guest has a process for weeding out the thoughts and actions that block your true purpose while helping you nurture your authentic self, rather than living your life through the dreams and fears of others. Please join us Thursday to learn about this hands-on guide to reclaim your power and become a force for positive change.

    C. Greater purpose

    2. Have a Long Term Memory - Exodus 32:7-13

What does your prayer life most resemble, asking to avoid circumstances or confessing God’s character?

What is your theology of suffering?  Asked another way, what is your response when suffering comes?

SHADOWLOGUE: A Teaser From the New Book

SHADOWLOGUE: A Teaser From the New Book

As I plunk away on the next volume in The Shadowland Saga during rare moments of 'free time' (HA!), I began to think:

What if I narrated the audiobook edition myself?

I was truly spoiled with the great David Kaye's contributions on The Cat's Maw, but let's face it — he's a busy (and expensive) man. And if I've learned anything during this podcast romp the past two years, it's that maybe, just maybe, my voice doesn't suck as much as I thought it did. Think of it being akin to body dysmorphia, but for vocal chords — I clearly can't trust my opinion, 'cause I have nearly five decades of bias.

So here we are...the first draft prologue for Book 2 for your greedy little ears, and me behind the mic. Some classic TT tunes as well. And I honestly want to know what you think...

SHOULD I DO THIS OR NOT?
