    Moses at the Burning Bush

    Moses at the Burning Bush
DAY 40 (Exodus 1-3): When we concluded Genesis, Abraham's grandson Jacob, whom God renamed Israel, had fled from famine in Canaan to settle with his twelve sons and their families in the fertile lands of Egypt. There they lived under the protection of Pharoah and Jacob's second youngest son Joseph, who, after he had been sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, had ascended to become governor over all of Egypt.

🔥Getting To Know God: Part 4 -What Does God Look Like?

🔥Getting To Know God: Part 4 -What Does God Look Like?

This Is What God Looks Like? “We are not unlike Him in appearance. We are like the shadow of His glory. He has a form like ours, but is also spirit- a spirit that is a consuming fire. Yes, He has a head, hands, feet, arms, and legs, but this is where the comparison stops for us. His skin, if you will, looks like swirling marble as Jasper and is reddish brown like Carnelian stone. From the waist up, He appears as gleaming metal with fire enclosed in it all around. From the waist down, His legs and feet are like pillars of fire. In His hands are light that shoot forth like lighting. His face shines brighter than the sun. And His eyes look like flames of fire. His hair is shining white like wool or fresh snow in the sunlight. He chooses to clothe Himself in a brilliant white robe that is like light itself. The snow white train of the robe swirls around on the ground and fills the entire temple. When He speaks, it’s as if you’re hearing the roaring of a lion, and rushing waters, and thunder rolling through a storm. Whenever He moves, the smoke of His glory goes before Him and behind and around Him. And no man has ever seen His face and lived.

His throne sits atop a blue sapphire stone that is as pure and clear as the sky. The base of His throne has wheels that look like they are ablaze. The throne itself is made of sapphire and also looks like it is on fire. And an emerald green rainbow arches over His throne reaching from one side to the other. There are two creatures that stand above Him on each side, each having six wings which are not unlike the wings of a bird. They cover their faces with two wings, then they cover their body with another two wings, and finally they cover their feet with the last two. They forever say to each other, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of Your glory!” The room is filled with smoke and the brightness of a rainbow shining every color through the smoke. Finally, and I believe the most revealing, is He has all the host of heaven beside Him on His left side and on His right side.”  #God'sApperance #burningfire #God

334: Holy Weak & the Holy Land w/Kathryn Whitaker
Kathryn Whitaker returns to share her incredible experience in the Holy Land. She talks about all of the places that she went to that we will hear about at the Masses of this Holy Week. She came back changed spiritually AND physically. She & Taylor also discuss how we are constantly on “holy ground” and in God’s presence in the places we may least expect it. They discuss the story of the burning bush and places where they’ve encountered God where they weren’t necessarily looking for Him. They also talk about the places in their lives where God probably is but they haven’t taken the time to recognize Him. We hope you have a blessed Holy Week! Exodus 1-3 | Rise of Moses: The Story of Deliverance in Egypt

Exodus 1-3 | Rise of Moses: The Story of Deliverance in Egypt

Exodus 1-3 tells the story of the Israelites, who were living in Egypt as slaves to the Pharaoh. The Israelites had grown in number and the Pharaoh feared their power, so he ordered that all male Israelite children be killed at birth. However, one Israelite woman, named Shiphrah, gave birth to a son and hid him for three months. She then placed him in a basket and set him adrift in the Nile River, where he was found and adopted by the Pharaoh's daughter. The boy, Moses, grew up in the palace, but later fled to Midian after killing an Egyptian who was mistreating an Israelite. In Midian, Moses married and had children, but later received a message from God through a burning bush, calling him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.

Who Am I? Overcoming Insecurity - Audio
Insecurity... We all try to hide it, but we've all got it. And, Insecurity can be a poison that keeps us from fully embracing God's plan for our lives. In Exodus 3 & 4, Pastor Derek looks at how Moses almost let his insecurity keep him from leading Israel out of Egypt. We see just how much we are like Moses and just how God speaks truth to our insecurity.

A Conversation with Fire - The Book of Exodus

A Conversation with Fire - The Book of Exodus

In this Bible Story, Moses encounters God through a burning bush calling him to lead his people out of Egypt. This story is inspired by Exodus 3-4:18. Go to BibleinaYear.com and learn the Bible in a Year.

Today's Bible verse is Exodus 3:2 from the King James Version.

Episode 33: Moses, now a grown man, walks out among the land one day and sees an Egyptian beating a Hebrew. This causes anger and indignation to rise within him, and so he takes action by killing the Egyptian. Thinking no one had seen him, he was shocked when he was accused of murder while breaking up a fight the next day. This caused Moses to flee from Egypt, and for the next 40 years, he lived as a shepherd in the land of Midian…until one day, God spoke to him through the blaze of a burning bush, changing his life forever.

    072 Bonus Episode (Thoughts): Proof

    LDS AND MEDIUM PODCAST BACKGROUND:
I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, or LDS for short. All my life I felt awkward and out of place, not because of my religion, but because of my spiritual gifts. It was hard to combine the idea of what first seemed like two separate worlds. So my whole life I have tried. I have learnt more about my gifts, and stayed faithful to my faith. But then I heard people left the church because it seems impossible to combine the two. So I am here, to try and mend the rift. To show that it is possible to be both LDS and to have, and use, our spiritual gifts. I am not alone on this journey, but my sister, who just is waking up to her spiritual gifts is by my side and she will also share her story.

Jesus Christ, our older brother, was a healer. He asked us to love one another. So let´s follow in his footsteps. Please join me on this journey, let´s make a community of strong spiritual LDS, or whatever religion you belong to, and all work together to make this world a better place.

    Eternal [Signs of Life 07]

    Eternal [Signs of Life 07]

Our family shapes who we are in ways we are hardly even conscious of most of the time. We come from extended families with their own stories, histories and patterns. But are we in Jesus’ family? In this family obedience is not because we earn something from Jesus. It’s because, as Jesus says, his words, his instructions, his design, IS eternal life. Obedience to Jesus doesn’t just give us access to life. It is life. And you know this because Jesus obeys. Jesus constantly obeys. In fact, if you really look at Jesus’ words about himself, he is constantly reminding us that his real power comes from obedience to and dependence on His Father. Obedience is the life we want to live. Being a part of Jesus’ family means that our obedience and love for his words grow over time. Is your love of Jesus’ words increasing? Do we read his word and want to obey?
