SGP Guests #9 | Dr Arlan Cage & Aurea Luz | Life In Balance

Sacred geometry from the viewpoint of the Nahual - the Toltec word for shaman. My guests, Dr. Arlan Cage, or Golden Eagle as he is called in the nahual lineage & Bonnie Cage, given the name Aurea Luz - meaning "golden light", offer their wisdom of sacred geometry as the patterns of a living universe. Their experiential knowledge, or gnosis, has been greatly enhanced by what the lineage calls the Aka Dua, meaning "innermost light" from the Egyptian language. It was the Aka Dua energy that helped me see these living patterns with greater understanding.

The Importance of finding a Great Teacher

The Importance of finding a Great Teacher

Not all teaching methods are created equal. And better methods produce better students.

The flip side to this is that there are better ways to learn, and that not all learning methods are created equal.

So whether it's learning a new language, learning to play the guitar, learning a martial art or learning about the spirit world, there exists a spectrum of possible learning styles ranging from the not so great, to mediocre, to good, to excellent and everything in between.

Episode 12- Food Aversions and Prehistoric Drug Use

Episode 12- Food Aversions and Prehistoric Drug Use

In this episode I talk about the age old battle between animals that want to eat plants and plants that don't want to be eaten. One of the defenses that plants use is to create toxins that poison the animals. This is why so many plants are a source of medicines and drugs that affect just about every physiological process in the body of animals. One of the defenses of animals is to rapidly detect a poisonous plant by the taste. They do this by a rapid and specialized form of conditioning called Conditioned Taste Aversion. This means that our animal ancestors will have been exposed to plant-based neurotoxins and alcohol for many millions of years. The consequences of this exposure are discussed and can explain why humans are vulnerable to drugs of abuse, and why this has only been a problem for the last 10,000 years. The availability of so many hallucinogenic and empathogenic drugs can explain why religions exist.

Goal setting - How you state your intention matters

Goal setting - How you state your intention matters

The person I am and the person you are, is nothing more than the sum of all our actions, and a large driving factor behind most of our actions are the goals we have set for ourselves.

This is why setting goals is so important because they have the ability to change who we are on a fundamental level.

    Always remember:

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. One man’s reward is another man’s punishment.

    Episode 8: Shamanic Crisis

    Episode 8: Shamanic Crisis

In this episode we discuss the rapid rise of shamanism in the West. As shamanism becomes more popular in modern Western culture, its true characteristics are being obscured to make it more palatable to the West. We expose the well-documented dark aspects of shamanic practice and the link between shamanism and the use of psychedelic drugs.
