Feroz Basha - Nightmare story of a joint venture, developing property and builders going bust!

Feroz Basha - Nightmare story of a joint venture, developing property and builders going bust!

In this episode of Real Estate One Ohhh One, a past client of Geelong Real Estate Co., Feroz Basha, a part-time stand up comedian shares his horror story of what should have been a simple and profitable joint venture between friends.

Listen in as Feroz relives the painful story of how he and a syndicate of 5 friends were taken advantage of by what was essentially a scam that sold them a developer turn-key project, expected to return a 20% margin over 12 months, turned out to be a loss over 4 years.

Great insights of what he'd recommend people do differently and what to look out for.

Feroz is a generous man with a cautionary tale. Keen to hear your thoughts.

Discovering the Intricacies of Gendered Sexuality and Overcoming Love Obstacles

Discovering the Intricacies of Gendered Sexuality and Overcoming Love Obstacles

Do you know the surprising differences between male and female sexuality, and why it's vital for women to be selective when choosing a partner? Join our conversation with David, Claire, and Franco, as we shed light on these fascinating distinctions. Plus, we'll be discussing our upcoming book, set to launch on December 15th, and offering a special bonus when you purchase it through our website!

We also explore a cautionary tale of a famous actor who made a huge mistake with a Playboy Playmate, and how that error can be unintentionally replicated in our own relationships. Learn how your behavior might be unknowingly turning a potential partner off, and gain insights on how to avoid such pitfalls. Don't miss out on this enlightening episode, and stay tuned for a remix of 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' by Daft Punk from DJ Alexi to wrap things up!

The Joseph W. South Show – Volume 1 is packed with even more practical insights and personal stories than what you saw in my last book. Building on the success of Practical Female Psychology for the Practical Man, this book provides you with a deeper understanding of female psychology and how to apply it to everyday interactions with women.

Whether you're a new reader or a returning fan you'll find plenty of useful advice in these pages. I bring decades of experience to the table, having made every mistake possible when it comes to the opposite sex. From divorce and child custody battles to wild sex and successful relationships I've seen and done it all!

It's not just men who stand to benefit. Female readers of the original book have raved about how PFP helped them understand their own thinking and the differences between masculine and feminine thought processes.

In a world where dating, sex, and relationships are complex and difficult to manage, I offer practical advice on how to overcome shyness, interact comfortably with the opposite sex, and find sexual partners. I share experiences of meeting and having sex with a lot of women, despite not being super rich, tall, or with model-good looks.

Is the EPA REALLY serving the US, or is it "owned" by Big Agriculture/Chem? - Dr. Evaggelos Valliantos, EPA insider and environmental activist on how the EPA's procedures allow dangerous pesticides to be approved, and how to fight back.

Is the EPA REALLY serving the US, or is it "owned" by Big Agriculture/Chem? - Dr. Evaggelos Valliantos, EPA insider and environmental activist on how the EPA's procedures allow dangerous pesticides to be approved, and how to fight back.

Dr. Evaggelos Vallianatos, one of Claremont's many authors and resident authority on broad spectrum of topics, including zoology and the history of science, has worked on Capitol Hill and at the US Environmental Protection Agency for almost three decades.  Dr. Vallianatos took a break from his research and writing to give Claremont Speaks some insight into how the EPA started and what the early days were like, and the corruption and duplicitous research that has happened since, including how President Biden might best make the most on his pledge to rebuild and restore the EPA to being honest, transparent and effective - in short, fulfilling its original purpose.

In this episode, Dr. Vallianatos focuses on the over-use of pesticides and the deleterious effects that multi-billion dollar corporations' "EPA-Approved" neurotoxins have on bees and other animals, and human children and adults.  As a counter measure, he highlights the many advantages of consuming exclusively Certified Organic food,, including recommendations for the CUSD to help our students be as healthy and able to learn as possible.

A returning guest on Claremont Speaks, Dr. Vallianatos never fails to bring new perspectives and valuable insights on his topics, relating what one might think are only national/federal issues back to Claremont, his home of many years.  Invest in listening to this episode and taking Dr. Vallianatos' recommendations to heart, and enjoy the ROI in terms of a longer, healthier life.

The Antikythera Mechanism, a 2100 yr. old astronomical computer; could it have changed the direction of today's technology? Claremont's Dr. Evaggelos Vallianatos explains how.

The Antikythera Mechanism, a 2100 yr. old astronomical computer; could it have changed the direction of today's technology? Claremont's Dr. Evaggelos Vallianatos explains how.

The Antikythera Mechanism, an astronomical computer probably crafted in Rhodes in the second century BCE, is regarded as being the first precision, gear driven calculator and the forerunner of modern computers.  Found by sponge-divers as a corroded lump in a 2,100-year-old Roman-era shipwreck in the early 1900's, it is one of the most advanced examples of technology ever discovered from the ancient world.  The level of genius revealed by this wondrous mechanism has fascinated and astounded historians for decades.
A historian of science and a staunch environmental advocate, Dr. Evaggelos Vallianatos returns to Claremont Speaks to relate how the mechanism was created, lost, found and then studied and investigated.  From that foundation, he extrapolates the implications to what today's society could have been had the mechanism and the guiding philosophies and purposes that created it been allowed to flourish.
This interview provides a window into how the achievements and lessons of the past speak loudly as cautionary tales regarding the efforts and pursuits of technology today, and how crucial it is to continually measure the ongoing advancement by whether it is truly good for all of society, not simply to enrich corporate coffers.
Caution: listening to this episode may foster a deeper curiosity about the Antikythera Mechanism and how ancient Greek philosophy, if applied to today's technological advances, might very well help, instead of continue to damage, today's environment.

    Rebecca Atkinson-Lord: A Director's Tale

    Rebecca Atkinson-Lord: A Director's Tale

In our 10th Episode, Adam Robert Lewis sits down (virtually) with director, Rebecca Atkinson-Lord. Rebecca hails from Wolverhampton and discovered directing while studying Ancient History and Classics at Bristol which fed her passion for brilliant stories.

Rebecca went on to study directing at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA). As a director, Rebecca’s work includes new writing, classic and verse drama, modern classics, opera, musical theatre and devised work.

In 2008, she founded Arch 468, a theatre development space in Brixton, which is dedicated to finding new ways to create and reflect the arts.

Rebecca co-directed theatre at Ovalhouse where she commissioned, developed and co-produced more than 80 new pieces of theatre and raised over £1.5 million for artists and their work.

In her tenure at Ovalhouse, Rebecca was nominated for the Off-West End Award for ‘Best Director’ for her production of Cuddles by Joseph Wilde at Ovalhouse. The production subsequently toured the UK before transferring to 59E59 Theatres in Manhattan in 2015, where it was awarded a New York Times Critic's Pick.

Rebecca discusses her journey and her most recent project, 'Cautionary Tale', a new British musical about growing up and growing glum. Book and lyrics are both by Rebecca Atkinson- Lord with music by Rebecca Applin.

‘Cautionary Tale’ is the story of Gloaming, a town filled with perfectly ordinary, yet perfectly remarkable people. The inhabitants of Gloaming all have special talents and interests. At its heart, it is a story about finding hope when all seems lost.

Since the Pandemic, all workshop performances had to be cancelled. Now, the team behind the musical are giving people the opportunity to stage it in their own homes and share their experiences and recordings online. For more information on how you can be a part of  'Cautionary Tale' visit:  www.cautionarytalemusical.com.
