The golf course that made CC Sabathia just say ‘F— it.’

Our first ever episode of “The Loop” podcast has arrived and it did not disappoint, featuring an all-time great chat with New York Yankee legend CC Sabathia. In retirement, the 2009 World Series champ has become an avid golfer, so much so that for the month of September he plans to just take lessons to dial in his game. We talked plenty of golf with Sabathia, plus a little baseball, before diving into the FedEx Cup Playoffs, which have become even more confusing to understand thanks to the mess that LIV has created. Plus, we recap 20-year-old Joohyung “Tom” Kim’s insane comeback victory at the Wyndham Championship, and make picks for the FedEx St. Jude Invitational.

As always, check GolfDigest.com for our full array of gambling content for the PGA Championship, including picks from our anonymous caddie, Pat Mayo of DraftKings/Mayo Media Network; Rick Gehman of RickRunGood.com; Brandon Gdula of numberFire/FanDuel; and Lee Alldrick of FanShareSports.

First up, the ladies are fresh off a jam packed holiday weekend! After a pretty low key Thanksgiving dinner, Tia and her sisters traveled to Miami to celebrate her mom’s 60th birthday. The trip included enjoying some amazing food as well as some entertainment at the #1 Drag Bar & Restaurant in Miami called Palace. Meanwhile, Atoya was in full hosting mode all weekend! The Burleson household entertained some friends from college, and they participated in a variety of activities including attending the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and watching the Burleson boys compete in their first football State High School Championship game!

Next up, it's time for Hot Takes! This week, Atoya and Tia tackle an incident that occurred during the LA  Lakers vs Indiana Pacers game the day before Thanksgiving. During overtime, Lebron James had 2 fans removed for using obscene language towards him. It was later revealed that the fans made several comments including stating, “I hope Bronny dies in a car wreck.” The ladies address the questions: (1) Do other players have the ability to exercise this right? and (2) Are fans taking things too far? Leave us a voicemail and Let us know your thoughts at https://www.speakpipe.com/insideLINES.

Lastly, the ladies welcome Amber Sabathia, certified Player Agent with CAA and Executive Director of the PitCCh In Foundation. We Want to Retire Like CC Sabathia

We Want to Retire Like CC Sabathia

You know it’s serious when Tony La Russa and his unwritten rules aren’t the worst thing in our Police Blotter. Hello, Felipe Vazquez. The Willy Adames trade sends Pottymouth’s boyfriend roster into disarray. Jesse “Da Wink” Winker hears MVP chants. Chad Pinder and Ian Happ are new men after their IL stints. Jake Cronenworth hits an inside-the-park home run for Patti’s birthday, and Mountcastle slams from her bench. A go-ahead slam for Miggy gets him closer to the 500 mark, and Nando gets to 50 homers. The COVID IL for the Mariners is an object lesson in how a personal choice not to vaccinate affects the entire team.

Can we retire like CC Sabathia? A podcast where he can go off full Pottymouth about unwritten rules, a Negro Leagues clothing line, and a rec softball team where he gets to hit. Our grooming segment features umpire footwear (It’s good!), and the Marlins’ Sugar Kings unis. Women’s baseball in the UK has begun and the Bristol Bobcats have our full support. The old guys are shining in the LMB (Big Sexy for the opening night win! Adrian Gonzalez with the first run for the Mariachis de Guadalajara!). So many Andersons.

Wash your hands, wear your masks, watch your distance, get your vaccine as soon as you can, and fight the man.
