CAT Episode 097 - Brad Arnold (3 Doors Down)

Brad Arnold co-founded 3 Doors Down in 1996.  Every album they've released has landed on the charts, in the Top 20.  From those albums, 19 singles have valuted towards the top of the charts, too!  As humanitarians, the band launched The Better Life Foundation with a goal in mind to give as many children as possible a better life.  In our September of 2017 interview, multi-award winning program director, Ray White, sat down with Brad in his tour bus to talk about their music in the movies, playing for our U.S. troops, their latest studio album - Us In The Night along with much more!  In our showcase segment, we feature future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band Foo Fighters, whose latest effort is Medicine At Midnight and also 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Cheap Trick, who just released In Another World.  Hold on tight, we're rockin' here on the CAT!!

So take a listen to this chat with Mister West, and discover an alternative look at Xmas music with some under-rated, lesser-known gems you'll want to add to your holiday playlist.

Interview with Ryan Roxie from the Alice Cooper band - There Goes My Hero

Alice Cooper’s longtime guitarist / collaborator Ryan Roxie is doing plenty to keep creatively active - from hosting his own podcast and livestreams to launching the System-12 Guitar Method. So what inspired him to finally launch his own guitar lesson project? Plus, how did Alice Cooper influence his passion for golf? And what was it like to meet his guitar hero Rick Nielsen and favorite band Cheap Trick for the first time?

Find out what Ryan reveals in “There Goes My Hero” - an interview series where Matt and Zach talk to their favorite artists about the first time they met their idols. Hear our guests relive every glorious (and possibly embarrassing) moment from encountering their musical heroes, and how that experience impacted them for the rest of their lives.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of our chat with Ryan, plus visit www.RyanRoxie.com to learn more about the System-12 Guitar Method, his “In the Trenches” podcast and livestreaming efforts.

37: Rick Nielsen / Cheap Trick

If Rick Nielsen weren’t one of rock and roll’s most colorful and accomplished characters in real life, there’s no way to have dreamed him up. A homemade cartoon figure who is also a down-to-earth family man. A superlative guitarist who makes it look like a goof onstage. An inveterate joker whose best-known song is a sincere request for love. You think it’s all an image, a pose? Spend a few minutes with the man and you’ll find out just how wrong you are.
