"Der Junge und der Reiher": Wir haben ihn schon ein bisschen früher schauen können. "The boy and the heron" gilt als das Meisterwerk von Hayao Miyazaki, dem Mastermind von Studio Ghibli, das Euch Klassiker wie "Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland" oder "Totoro" schenkte. Wir reden daher am Anfang nur über Dinge, die ihr schon aus Filmankündigungen und dem Trailer wisst. Ihr könnt also ruhig reintunen, erst nach unserer "Spoiler Wall" fangen wir an, Sachen aus der Handlung zu besprechen. Wie fandet ihr den Film? Folge 120 - Studio Ghibli IX - Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland und Das Königreich der Katzen

Die neuste Ghibli-Folge startet mit dem erfolgreichsten Ghibli- und für lange Zeit auch erfolgreichsten Anime-Film überhaupt: Chihiros Reise ins Zauberland. Der einzige Anime-Film, der den Oscar für den besten Animationsfilm erhielt, hat seine Beliebtheit nach 20 Jahren immer noch nicht eingebüßt. Ob Julians Kindheitstrauma noch Auswirkungen zeigt und weshalb Lukas sich unwohl in leeren Straßenbahnen fühlt, klären die beiden. Daneben steht Das Königreich der Katzen. Ein kurzes Spin-Off zur Figur des Barons aus The Whisper of Heart. Dessen Regisseur mit Hiroyuki Morita aber weder Miyazaki noch Takahata ist. Wo Julian die überschaubare Laufzeit und der schnelle Ablauf positiv sieht, steht Lukas nach leichter Vorfreude dem Film deswegen doch eher gleichgültig gegenüber. Vom Charisma des Barons konnten sich aber beide nicht retten.

#33 - Zurück im Animeland

Seit der letzten Folge ist so einiges passiert - Merve war zu Besuch in Deutschland und hat sich direkt eine Krankheit als Souvenir ausgesucht. Ob das der Grund ist, warum sie lieber im Land der Animes wohnt? Wer weiß - in jedem Fall reden wir über unsere Liebe zu Animes, wie Animes sich dem Thema der Liebe annehmen und dabei von anderen Filmen deutlich unterscheiden. Die japanischen Zeichentrickfilme sind eine ernstzunehmende Kunstform - da kann ein Animestudio schon mal ein Katana als Warnung verschicken, um ein Statement zu machen. Doch in der heutigen Folge sind nur unsere Worte und vor allem Merves Lachen unsere Waffen, um euch einen schönen Tag zu erkämpfen.

Folge 13: Königreich der Katzen

'Das Königreich der Katzen' aus dem Jahr 2002 ist der dreizehnte Film des Studio Ghibli, bei dem diesmal der Regieneuling Hiroyuki Morita Regie federführend verantwortlich war. Wie der Titel schon vermuten lässt, sollte das eigentlich 'der' Lieblingsfilm für alle Katzen-Nerds sein, zumal so liebgewonnene Charaktere wie Baron Humbert von Gikkingen und der fette Kater Muta auftauchen, die man bereits schon aus 'Stimme des Herzens (Whisper of the heart)' kennt. Ob der Film aber auch Shaggy und Thomas begeistern konnte (beides bekennende Katzenliebhaber), erfahrt ihr der neuesten Folge von 'World of Ghibli'.

The Philosophy In Film podcast returns with Hayao Miyazaki's 2001 Anime blockbuster "Spirited Away". "Spirited Away" is an award-winning visual masterpiece with a coming-of-age story fused with the Shinto religion... Asian Fusion if you will. It's not exactly good for young kids, but it does have some interesting and somewhat confusing things happening that might be great if you're on an acid trip.

Hayao Miyazaki une heure pour revisiter son oeuvre

Tout le monde grandit avec le Miyazaki de son époque

Episode entièrement consacré à la filmographie de Hayao Miyazaki. On revient film par film sur le cinéaste, sur nos sentiments face à son oeuvre et l'envie de comprendre ce qui nous touche profondément dans ce cinéma.

Le cinéaste

Inutile de revenir sur l’influence pop qu’à pu avoir Hayao Miyzaki. Dans ce podcast on revient plutôt sur l’influence du cinéphile d’aujourd’hui, celui qui a grandi avec les Ghibli fin 90’s/ 2000. Véritable carburant à émotions, celui-qui-ne-fait-aucune-concession-commerciale a sensibilisé nos cœurs au grand cinéma.

Film par film, année après année

Cet épisode de Sous les pavés est l’occasion de revenir film par film en commençant par le début de l’œuvre du cinéaste. On commence donc par Le château de Cagliostro jusqu’à Le vent se lève en 2014. Nous nous s’arrête plus en détails sur Le Voyage de Chihiro, Porco Rosso, Le château Ambulant.

C'est quoi votre Ghibli préfré ?

On véritablement du mal à faire un classement des films du maître. Il n’y a pas de période creuse dans la carrière du cinéaste. Il exécute chef d’œuvre sur chef d’œuvre, amenant l’animation à un haut niveau, tellement parfaite qu’on a même du mal à définir la relève dans ce domaine.
