    Bluey: S1E36 - Backpackers

    Bluey: S1E36 - Backpackers
Bluey, Bingo, Muffin and Socks are all hanging out. Not sure where Stripe and Trixie are, but Bandit and Chilli seem to be watching over the whole gang. The kids learn what backpacking is and want to play a game where they are the backpacks and mom and dad are the backpackers. So the game is on, and the parents walk around from the markets, to the hotels and eventually to the bathroom where Bandit really needed to go. The kids look like they are having a blast as they make it more and more difficult for Bandit and Chilli to get stuff and do exactly what they want. Eventually the parents get to their room and are able to take a breather before they go for a hike (with the kids now as their boots) and the kids learn a lesson about what it means to go backpacking and to prepare for any and every circumstance.

    Bluey: S1E34 - The Dump

    Bluey: S1E34 - The Dump
Bandit needs to go to the dump to throw out some stuff, so Bluey and Bingo join in. On the car ride there, they have a ton of fun, Bandit convincing Bluey that he not only knows everything, but that he’s the best dad in the whole world. When they get to the dump, Bluey discovers that Dad is throwing away Bluey’s drawings, and Bandit quickly falls from being the best dad in the world, to the worst. Bluey is hurt, but Bandit lets her know a lesson about recycling that fixes everything, and when he distracts them by going through the car wash, the girls then change their tune again from worst dad ever, back to best dad ever. The girls learn about recycling, Bandit learns about vulnerability, and this episode had me wishing that my city had a dump like this.

    Bluey: S1E31 - Work

    Bluey: S1E31 - Work
Bingo and Bluey become employees at their dad's pipe company. Bluey is a lazy, power-hungry worker, and Bingo is a frog. Eventually, the game shifts so that Bluey is the boss and she makes her dad do a lot of really strange things, like lick the floor, clean the windows with his bum, and she eventually fires him and kicks him out of the house. Bingo, feeling bad for her dad, hatches an elaborate ruse to cheer him up and she gets him to start dancing, which catches the eye of the pavlovian dancer, Chilli, who then hires him to dance for the night and all of Bandits dreams have come true. The whole gang learns about work, power, and helping out people in need even if it doesn’t help you at all.

    Bluey: S1E30 - Fairies

    Bluey: S1E30 - Fairies
Bingo is making a domino heart for her dad. It’s a love heart. And she wants her dad to knock down them down. She runs over to him, but he’s on the phone and loses patients with Bingo. A rare moment for Bandit. Then the episode gets weird. There appear to be real fairies messing up the things around the house because Bandit did something to upset the fairies. A lot of this episode you think it’s Bingo, but there is no way. There’s just too many things that get done that make it an impossibility for it to have been Bingo. And together the family learn that they need to dance around the letterbox in order to appease the fairies. So they do and Bandit validates the hurt that Bingo is going through and this episode is just an episode of love and beauty.

    Bluey: S1E29 - The Creek

    Bluey: S1E29 - The Creek
Bingo, Bluey, and Mackenzie are kind of bored playing in the playground. So they ask Bandit if he can play with them all right before Mackenzie has the brilliant idea to go to the creek. Bandit likes the idea so he goes along with it and with Bingo, on he treks into the wild to do some bush bashing. Mackenzie follows, but Bluey is a bit nervous—I mean there are drop bears, uneven ground, and leeches that eat your blood. But as she gets comfortable a bit more and takes steps of bravery, she realizes that the creek is beautiful. Even if she didn’t quite realize it before, she now understands how beautiful the world is.

    Bluey: S1E25 - Taxi

    Bluey: S1E25 - Taxi
It’s a rainy day and Bandit needs a Taxi to get to the airport. Bluey happens to be his Taxi driver, and she’s a very patient and goofy driver. She welcomes a rich lady (played by Bingo) into the Taxi and they drive around everywhere and get lost, Bandit getting more and more upset and frustrated by the minute. There’s bad GPS, wrong stops, mechanical issues, old ladies crossing the street, and they run out of gas. So Bandit ditches the Taxi and runs to the airport to find his worst nightmare has come true…The rich lady is sitting right next to him on the flight and Bluey is the pilot!

    Bluey: S1E24 - Wagon Ride

    Bluey: S1E24 - Wagon Ride
Bluey and Bingo wake up early, crawl on their parents bed, wake up Bandit, almost wake up Chilli, and ask if they can go to the Monkey Bars. Bandit wakes up, seizing the day, and takes them in a wagon to the park—which looks to be about a mile away. Along the way, Bandit stops to talk to some adults he sees pass him up and Bluey gets really frustrated they keep stopping. But Bandit tells her to look at what her sister is doing and Bluey grows not only in patience, but in the ability to make the most of opportunities as they come along.

    Bluey: S1E21 - Blue Mountains

    Bluey: S1E21 - Blue Mountains
This is a hand episode. We only see the characters acting with their hands for the majority of the episode, but Bandit is lying on the ground and Chilli, Bluey, and Bingo are all trying to get to the top of the Blue Mountains to find the softest warmest beds because it is getting cold outside. They journey on through heights, through caves, and through a cheeky fox trying to trick them up. Finally they make it to the warm beds—which are bandit’s ears and usually the softest fur on a dog for some reason—and they learn a lesson about taking care of each other and how big sisters need to look out for little sisters.

    Bluey: S1E19 - The Claw

    Bluey: S1E19 - The Claw
The family are at a restaurant when Bluey and Bingo come across a claw machine—one of those machines you have to guide and you can get prizes when it grabs something. They quickly realize how rigged the game is and drive home very mad at the injustice of it all. While home, Chilli comes up with a home remedy game of the claw to try to put the girls in a better mood. Bingo loves it, but Bluey finds it a bit too easy. So dad makes the game much more difficult and the girls try to win a block that will give them bottomless ice cream sundays after dinner. Haha. Bottomless. Things go a bit awry after this, and no one really learns a lesson and the house is not cleaned. We’re just out here having fun.

    Bluey: S1E17 - Calypso

    Bluey: S1E17 - Calypso
This episode is centered around Bluey’s teacher, Calypso. Her and her students are all having story time, and when story time ends, they all get up and start playing doing different activities in different parts of the classroom. Calypso walks around and just observes and makes a few comments here and there. She gently directs the students to help each other and the students learn about economics and capitalism. In all honesty they do learn about those things but they also learn the important lessons of leaning on each other and collaboration.

    Bluey: S1E16 - Yoga Ball

    Bluey: S1E16 - Yoga Ball
Bandit is trying to get some work done from home today, but Bingo and Bluey keep distracting him to play. And every game that they play Bandit plays a little too rough with Bingo. Bingo gets a bit dazed and crawls under the tree bench where Chilli helps her discover her big girl bark. Now whenever dad plays a little too rough with Bingo, she can let him know. She’s the cutest, as we always say, and she learns a valuable lesson about confidence and speaking up.

    Bluey: S1E14 - Takeaway

    Bluey: S1E14 - Takeaway
Bandit, Bingo, and Bluey all go together to pick up some takeout—or take away as the Aussies say it. Unfortunately, the spring rolls are not ready yet and Bandit is not leaving without his spring rolls. They’ll be ready in five minutes which ends up feeling like an eternity for the girls as they try to find ways to entertain themselves. And Bandit learns the lesson that a person never has the chance to be young again, so they should soak up as much life as they can while they’re young.

    Bluey: S1E8 - Fruitbat

    Bluey: S1E8 - Fruitbat
The family are playing a game of Pop Up Crocs when it’s time for the girls to go to bed. Bluey rebels a little bit and as she looks outside, sees the fruit bats flying all around the sky. She wishes she was a fruit bat, and after tossing and turning in her bed trying to fall asleep, she dreams about being a fruit bat and has what looks like an absolutely amazing night flying all over the neighborhood and learning about what her parents sacrificed to look after her and Bingo.
