    Full Contact (1992) Season Finale!

In the season finale of the AIPT Movies podcast, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss Chow Yun-fat’s OTHER Hong Kong action classic from 1992, Full Contact!

Greasers! Rock n’ roll action! Extreme dance sequences set to the sound of the band Extreme! Analog bullet time! Great stunt falls and finger gore! An incredible cast including the legendary Chow Yun-fat, Simon Yam, and Anthony Wong! Directed by Ringo Lam before he came to the states and started working with Jean-Claude Van Damme! Colorful and over-the-top villains! Some of the most mean-spirited camp you’ve ever seen that somehow leaves you feeling alive and rejuvenated despite all the violence and horror!

In addition, Alex shares his spoiler-free thoughts on Meg 2: The Trench, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and the Sharksploitation documentary!

You can find AIPT Movies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends!

The AIPT Movies podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris, Tim Gardiner, and Matt Paul, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from three filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. You can find Alex on Instagram and Twitter @ActionHarris. Matt is a terrific artist that you can find on Instagram @no_wheres_ville. Tim can’t be found on social media because he doesn’t exist. If you have any questions or suggestions for the AIPT Movies crew, they can be reached at aiptmoviespod@gmail.com, or you can find them on Twitter @AIPTmoviesPod.

Theme song is “We Got it Goin On” by Cobra Man.

    Episode 58: Hansal Mehta

    Episode 58: Hansal Mehta

Hansal Mehta joins us for a chat on two of his early films, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar and Chhal. One's a black comedy about end of innocence. The other's a sharp action drama centered around betrayal.  Both films had compelling story lines, terrific cast, great music and both attempted something new in their technique. Two films I wish more people would watch. Why? I make my case on the episode. Join us!

"Hags Are Here!" (w/ Margaret Cho)

"Hags Are Here!" (w/ Margaret Cho)

This is not hyperbole: Margaret Cho is so mother for this. "This" means appearing on Las Cultch with Matt & Bowen in a true time of need. The three friends and Fire Island co-stars discuss bouncing back from a breakup, dick as a metaphor for love and romance, and whether sex actually helps as a coping mechanism in life. Also, Margaret's dog Lucia (whose presence is like medicine), the POWER of Pedro Pascal, the POWER of Chow Yun Fat, and the POWER of John Travolta (at least at one point. All this, The Grammys, Beyoncé, Olivia Newton John's Bad Sandy transformation, hagsploitation, "The Hillsong Aesthetic", Reese & Ashton's awkward press tour, Tiffany Pollard, Monique as host of Charm School, Robyn Dixon's latest flop, The Cut's Etiquette Rules, The Geneva Convention and recent Madonna discourse. Get tickets to see Margaret on tour this year at www.margaretcho.com!

Season 8 : Bonus Episode- New Releases & Late Returns (featuring Shawn Robare)

Season 8 : Bonus Episode- New Releases & Late Returns (featuring Shawn Robare)

This episode's guest is Shawn Robare. He has previously been a guest to chat about his passion for The Monster Squad as well as his appearance in the documentary Wolfmans Got Nards. In addition to that, Shawn also co-hosts (co-co-hosts?) Cult Film Club. A podcast where the three hosts celebrate films that they have always loved. You can also find Shawn's website Branded In The 80s. Which is full of meticulous nostalgia. He is also just an all around gem and we are excited to have him return.

The Seventh Curse (1986) is directed by Lam Ngai Kai (Story of Ricky) and stars Chow Fun Fat and Chin Sui-Ho. The story follows a doctor/policeman who attempts to save a woman from being murdered by the worm tribe. (and a ton of other things that are awesome and insane!) If you like kung fu, horror, monsters, skeleton lords, and blood curses then boy do we have a film for you! As always please reach out and let Dirk know your experiences or thoughts on any and all of the movies or guests. Want to be a guest or just share a story? Please do!
