Author Peter Kurth takes the Gaslit Nation Self Care Q&A!  In the second part of this special interview, Andrea interviews Peter Kurth, author of American Cassandra: The Life of Dorothy Thompson, which helped inspire Andrea’s latest screenplay based on Thompson and her urgent lessons for us today. 1923 wird die Bildhauerin und Schriftstellerin Christa Winsloe (1888 – 1944) in Berlin von der Inflation überrascht. "Verrücktes Geld", ihr autobiografischer Bericht darüber, soll der einzige Text sein, den Winsloe über Berlin schreiben wird. Marc Lippuner spricht mit Winsloes Biografin Doris Hermanns über das Leben der Künstlerin, das in einem Wald in Südfrankreich ein tragisches Ende nimmt. Im Anschluss liest Jenny Kittmann Auszüge aus dem Feuilleton "Verrücktes Geld".

Hertha von Gebhardt (1896 - 1978) gehört zu jenen Schriftstellerinnen, die zu Lebzeiten im Literaturbetrieb eine wichtige Rolle spielten, heute jedoch kaum noch bekannt sind. Sie schrieb zahlreiche Feuilletons, Kinderbücher, Drehbücher und Romane, war Vorsitzende des Schutzbundes deutscher Autoren und Nachlassverwalterin ihrer Schriftstellerkollegin Christa Winsloe. Marc Lippuner spricht mit der Winsloe-Biografin Doris Hermanns über das Leben und Werk Hertha von Gebhardts, wobei auch die Frage aufgeworfen wird, warum so viele Frauen in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten aus der Literaturgeschichte herausgeschrieben wurden. Diese Podcast-Folge ist ein Beitrag für die Blogparade #femaleheritage, die das Ziel verfolgt, Frauen in der Erinnerungskultur präsenter zu machen und das Bewusstsein für ihr Werk und ihr Wirken zu stärken.
