139 - Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) Review

139 - Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 (1987) Review

The time has come to review the iconic film that brought the world "Garbage Day!" Merry Christmas everyone as we review Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2. This is a movie that almost has enough recycled footage from the first movie to fill the entire feature-length of this film.

In Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2, Ricky recounts the events that led him to becoming a murderer after his brother, Billy, was killed at the orphanage. A far as sequels go, this one is all time bad, but it is a cult classic for one climactic scene that is totally unforgettable. Watch the movie and catch our review.

    136 - Better Watch Out (2016) Review

Deck the halls, the Christmas season is here! There has been a rise in Christmas horror movies over the past few years and we wanted to start the season off with a movie that has been talked about a lot lately. In Better Watch Out, a babysitter and a 12-year old protect themselves during what appears to be a home invasion, but is something else entirely.

Horror for the Holidays III (Jack Frost, The Advent Calendar, The Star Wars Holiday Special)

Horror for the Holidays III (Jack Frost, The Advent Calendar, The Star Wars Holiday Special)

Just when you think you've nearly reached the end of the year, and you're safe, nestled in your warm little beds, you remember that it's time for HO-HO-HOLIDAY HORROR! First up, a convict, in transport to be executed, finds his body genetically altered and combined with snow. And suddenly, we have a homicidal snowman seeking vengeance! Better keep the anti-freeze handy, Jack Frost (1997) is on a holiday rampage! Holiday traditions can be so nice. It's always wonderful to receive a unique and thoughtful gift from a friend. Just be careful if the gift happens to be an antique. Particularly if it's from Germany, it seems. If you play along nicely, you could be rewarded. But if you break the rules, you may end up dead, in The Advent Calendar (2021). And then from there, you may have heard whispers of its existence. About how awful it was. But how could this be? Did it really happen? Surely, it must have been a hallucination. But no. It's all too real. Chewbacca has a family. We SEE how they live! We watch Chewbacca's wife cook! We suffer through astonishingly bad musical interludes! Chewbacca's son has a stuffed bantha toy, and Imperial troops rip its head off! All of these horrors await you, in The Star Wars Holiday Special (1978)!

We also, better late than never, give our review of The Haunting of Bly Manor... it's perfectly splendid.

So sit back, get yourself some nog (spiked of course) and enjoy some 'scary' time to yourself!

Horror for the Holidays II (Better Watch Out, Gremlins, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians)

Horror for the Holidays II (Better Watch Out, Gremlins, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians)

Maybe it doesn't quite feel like it this year, but it IS that time of year! Get ready for another dose of HO-HO-HOLIDAY HORROR! First, we have a kid who has such a strong desire to touch his babysitter's boob, that he comes up with a home invasion scheme that takes some unexpected twists in Better Watch Out (2016). Then, we run across little creatures that multiply when you throw water on them! But snow is fine and not water-based, apparently. And I'm still not really sure exactly when these things CAN be fed. That's right, it's the Christmas classic, Gremlins (1984), as our Focus of Fear! And then from there, Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)! 'Nuff said!
