A very 80's take on the classic Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol, Frank Cross (Bill Murray) is visited by 3 spirits on Christmas Eve to show him the error of his ways.

One Shot - A Christmas Carol

One Shot - A Christmas Carol
Wherein we talk about THE Christmas Adaptation - A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens and we also talk about: where our ghosts of Christmas past would take us, other Hallmark Movies Danielle watched, shifting the idea of how to celebrate Christmas, why was Scrooge such a dick anyway?, how hard is it to make pudding?, and the various movie versions that we've enjoyed.

    Episode 293: ParamountBros:ShowMAX

    Episode 293: ParamountBros:ShowMAX
Are two of Hollywood's oldest studios about to merge? It might be a more plausible outcome then you think as Warner and Paramount have talks. A24 and Kojima make a match made in heaven, Insomniac is hacked, and we learn their future. PS5 continues Sony's dominance in the gaming space, and Bobby Kotick is finally leaving Activision. Several streaming shows are getting renewed for their final seasons, and Curb is ending. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty, not good. The MCU's second greatest villain may not actual be a thing anymore, and I watched Barbie. Plus my top 10 Christmas movies.

Holidanger: Scrooged & Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving

Holidanger: Scrooged & Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving

It’s December, so that means it’s time for the AIPT Movies podcast’s “Holidanger” series! Where we cover the best kind of holiday movie: the ones where lives are on the line! In this week’s episode, Alex, Tim, and Matt discuss Richard Donner’s surprisingly dark and funny modern retelling of Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic, Scrooged!

A wonderful cast that features Bill Murray at what may be his all-time scummiest! A fake Lee Majors action movie! Bob Goulet's Old Fashioned Cajun Christmas! Timeless special effects mixed with classic Hollywood cinematography! The best interpretation of A Christmas Carol that doesn’t include Muppets! A perfect Christmas movie that captures the spirit of the season while also being oddly terrifying, funny, and deep! A mashup of several genres that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy while also scaring the “Dickens” out of you!

In addition, Alex shares his spoiler-free thoughts on Blue Beetle, Equalizer 3, and Eli Roth’s long-awaited Thanksgiving!

You can find AIPT Movies on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. As always, if you enjoy the podcast, be sure to leave us a positive rating, subscribe to the show, and tell your friends!

The AIPT Movies podcast brings you the latest in movie news, reviews, and more! Hosted by supposed “industry vets,” Alex Harris, Tim Gardiner, and Matt Paul, the show gives you a peek behind the scenes from three filmmakers with oddly nonexistent filmographies. You can find Alex on Instagram and Twitter @ActionHarris. Matt is a terrific artist that you can find on Instagram @no_wheres_ville. Tim can’t be found on social media because he doesn’t exist. "Scrooged": The Gift You Get Years Later

"Scrooged": The Gift You Get Years Later

Welcome back to the couch!  Season 3 of "What the Kids Were Watching" is here, and Sarah and Raf are getting into the holiday spirit with the 1988 film "Scrooged."

As with some of the previous films discussed on this podcast, "Scrooged" -- an 80s retelling of "A Christmas Carol" starring Bill Murray -- has proven a bit divisive for our hosts. Raf has wanted to talk about this movie since the podcast launched, while Sarah was resistant. "I didn't want to have to face how I just didn't love this movie," she admits. Ultimately, though, both hosts are surprised at how much they absorbed from a recent re-watch -- and at how much they missed when they were watching the movie over and over as kids.

So pop open a Tab and hit pause on "The Night the Reindeer Died" and "Bob Goulet's Old Fashioned Cajun Christmas," because you won't want to miss a minute of this podcast episode.  After all, yule love it!

(Note: In the episode, Raf refers regularly to "The Christmas Carol" when he meant "A Christmas Carol." Our bad.)

Episode 19: Puzzles, Pupils & Apple Pipes

Episode 19: Puzzles, Pupils & Apple Pipes

We talk jigsaw puzzles and the Worlds Jigsaw Puzzle Competition. We answer the age old question of What came first? Chicken or the Egg?  JT did his catnip homework and we dream about that honeysuckle life. We learn that, yes, cats can be sleazebuckets and that Bill Murray loves the D.
We get a little deep into Christmas memories talking about our favourite ornaments and movies like Scrooged and  Rare Exports (look it up).

    A Scrooged Christmas Vacation

    A Scrooged Christmas Vacation

This ain't no trip to Lapland, and it's not your moms plum pudding. And it's most certainly not a hallucination brought on by Russian vodka poisoned by Chernobyl! What it is, is a Yuletide celebration to rival any stocking stuffer you're sure receive.

Let us never forget the sentiments of Frank Cross at this time of year. The most magical moment for humanity. Yule love it!

It's Christmas time in Hollis Queens, mom's cooking chicken.....oops, wrong miracle monologue.

It's Christmas Eve! It's the one night of the year when we all act a little nicer, we smile a little easier, we cheer a little more. For a couple of hours out of the whole year, we are the people that we always hoped we would be. It's really a sort of a miracle, because it happens every Christmas Eve. And if you waste that miracle, you're gonna burn for it, I know what I am talking about. You have to do something. You have to take a chance. You do have to get involved. There are people that are having trouble making their miracle happen. There are people that don't have enough to eat, or people that are cold. You can go out and say hello to these people. You can take an old blanket out of the closet and say "Here!", you can make them a sandwich and say "Oh, by the way, here!" I get it now! And if you give, then it can happen, then the miracle can happen to you! It's not just the poor and the hungry, it's everybody's who's gotta have this miracle! And it can happen tonight for all of you! If you believe in this spirit thing, the miracle will happen and then you'll want it to happen again tomorrow. You won't be one of these bastards who says "Christmas is once a year and it's a fraud", it's NOT! It can happen every day, you've just got to want that feeling. And if you like it and you want it, you'll get greedy for it! You'll want it every day of your life and it can happen to you! I believe in it now! I believe it's going to happen to me now! I'm ready for it! And it's great. It's a good feeling, it's really better than I've felt in a long time. I'm ready. Have a Merry Christmas, everybody.

    Shitter's full.

Scrooged with the Ghosts of Women's Leadership - EP 026

Scrooged with the Ghosts of Women's Leadership - EP 026

This episode is full of inspiration as we are Scrooged with the Ghosts of Women's Leadership Past, Present, and Future.

The Ghosts of Women's Leadership Past

Ten women from past episodes speak to us and send a message for a brighter 100-years to come.

The 100-year theme seemed to stick out in two ways. The last global pandemic we had was 100 years ago for one. And two, after studying several amazing women leaders as part of this podcast there seemed to be a common thread that was popping out. These women were speaking to me.

There is something special that seems to tie us all together. By looking at a couple of milestones at both the 100-year mark and the fifty-year mark we can learn more. It’s like the data was begging me to dig a little deeper to expose something. Or was it the ghosts of Women’s Leadership Past?

The Ghost of Women’s Leadership Future

What happens in the future without our participation in Women’s Leadership?

When we continue to let our planet and humanity waffle, what happens to the misunderstanding of the misunderstood?

What happens if we don’t intervene with more curiosity, compassion, and kindness to resolve conflict, gain insight, and build respect?

I find it far more useful to paint a picture of possibilities of prosperity than to get stuck in the mud from the old order of thinking that we are all separate and different.

Imagine in the future, Women’s Leadership is leading the way.

In the next 100-years, I believe the following is absolutely possible!

The Ghost of Women's Leadership Present

We must honor and not ignore the Ghost of Women’s Leadership Present. We must learn to be fully present so that the future has a chance.

I invite you to see a brighter future for yourself and for others. I invite you to be inspired with a unique vision of what you see for the next 100-years. May it be full of possibilities and challenges that are meant to be solved only by you. I invite you to a greater understanding of how important you are in the world!

Believe in your version of the Ghost of Women’s Leadership Future!
