Remembering Richard Donner
In this episode we talk recent News and about the work of Director/Good Person Richard Donner. No time codes today. Life has been hectic. But surprises are fun, RIGHT?!
Richard Donner Films - A Tribute
Cinemondo pays their respects to the legendary Hollywood TV and film director Richard Donner. Donner was an American filmmaker whose notable works included some of the most financially-successful films of the 1970s and 1980s. These included such films as The Omen, Superman, Scrooged, Lethal Weapon and The Goonies. His television credits are iconic episodes of The Twilight Zone, Tales From the Crypt, Kojak and The Streets of San Francisco.
Mr. Donner passed away at the age of 91 on July 5, 2021, so we wanted to take a look back at some great scenes from some of his biggest and most successful films and television.
Music composed and performed by Burk Sauls.

Groundhog Day (1993)
In this episode, we discuss one of their favorite 90's movies featuring Bill Murray, "Groundhog Day." We talk about a lot of the behind the scenes information about the film, how it came to be, fan reception, and our favorite moments of the film. We also discuss how long Phil Connors was actually in the loop and why it was finally broken. Jay tries a new hazy IPA and gives the play-by-play. As always, we share our recommendations and add to the Movies, Music and Beer Radio playlist on Spotify.

John Glover has been a favorite of film and television audiences since the 1970’s. He gained even greater prominence portraying a series of loathsome but oddly endearing villains in the iconic 80’s classics Scrooged, John Frankenheimer’s 52 Pick-Up and Gremlins 2: The New Batch. More recently, he was Emmy nominated for his turn as Lionel Luthor on the long running television hit, Smallville. In addition to his memorable work in film and television over the decades, our JGlo has appeared in 19 Broadway shows, numerous off- B’way productions, and at distinguished regional theaters throughout the country. In 1995, he won the Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor for his touching dual role as eclectic twin brothers in Terrence McNally's Love! Valor! Compassion!
Cocktails at Table 7- Inside New York’s Joe Allen is produced and hosted by Jason Woodruff, Dana Mierlak and Sean Kent, with music by James Rubio and logo and artwork design by Christina D’Angelo. The Producers would like to extend a special thank you to the owners of Joe Allen, Orso and Bar Centrale Restaurants.
