Corey Masisak joins the San Jose Hockey Now Podcast!

But before we get to Corey and talk about his incredible Hasso Plattner story (44:56), only on San Jose Hockey Now, we talk about the latest San Jose Sharks news!

Keegan and Sheng chatted about the Sharks’ week, including a feel-good victory over the Anaheim Ducks (2:10). Keegan is predicting no more double-digit losing streaks (12:55) for the rest of the season.

Sheng talks about Logan Couture coming back, and how close he was to breaking the news of Couture’s specific injury (14:30).

I’ve been waking regularly thinking about stripes. 

My mind was very focused on all the things I had to do, all the bookings in my calendar - the black stripes. I noticed that this focusing on the stuff to do felt like pressure and was resulting in feelings of overwhelm that needed to be shifted before I could start my day. 

I wanted to start my day in a lighter way. After all, overwhelm is optional and it’s definitely not how I move through the world at my best.

And also, I like the stuff in my calendar! I put it there after all. This feeling of heaviness needed to be gently rebelled against.

I started to play with focusing on the space between the obligations - the white stripes. It feels so much better!

What's the deal with zebra stripes? They stand out in their environment. So why haven't the lions eaten them all. The answer is important for Christians. We too stand out in the world, at least we should. And the lion is seeking someone to devour - and that means you and me! So what is our best defense against him. 

Let's look back at the idea of "taking the stairs" and consider the influence of other is our walk, in the steps we take. Can you do it alone? Are you strong enough to fight the devil by your self? And will digital discipleship bridge the gap?
